Home prices rise 19.5 percent in Jersey City
Home prices across the U.S. have increased 6.5 percent over the past year, according to a GoBankingRates study. In some parts of the U.S., however, prices have skyrocketed. Twenty cities in particular are beating the national average and Jersey City is one of them with an increase of 19.5 percent over the past year. —CNBC

La Nacional reopens in New York
La Nacional is not in Jersey City, but it’s one of my favorite Spanish restaurants in New York (along with Socarrat Paella Bar). The Chelsea-based restaurant, which is blocks away from the 23rd Street Path station, recently reopened. —Eater

  1. My understanding is that SIDs get their money from the local government. How can they justify spending $100K of regular people’s money for one person’s performance?
