Smorgasbar returns to Jersey City this weekend. The waterfront bar will reopen for the 2023 season this Saturday (April 29) at 3 Second Street.
If you’re not familiar, Smorgasbar Jersey City is an outdoor bar located in the old Lutze space. The outdoor garden includes lots of seats, benches, tables, and patio chairs where you can enjoy a glass of wine, margarita, or local brews. (Their spicy margarita and smoked peach were our personal faves). Smorgasbar is also dog friendly and kid friendly. Vendors have yet to be named for Smorgasbar JC, but we expect a list to come out shortly. (You can keep an eye on their website for more details).
Unfortunately, Smorgasburg Jersey City will not return for the 2023 season. Earlier this month, Smorgasburg kicked off its 2023 season at the WTC, Williamsburg, and Prospect Park. While we don’t know the reason why Smorgasburg pulled out of JC, the parking lot where it was held last year is currently under construction.
