What: Departed Soles Tasting Room Anniversary
When: Friday, October 12 from 4pm to 10pm
Where: 150 Bay Street
Start your weekend with a pint of locally brewed suds as Departed Soles celebrates the 3-year anniversary of its tasting room. Enjoy DS’ new beer — Laugh Now, Cry Later-Hopped — as well as special anniversary bottles of DS’ ModCup of Sole and their flagship Philosorapper.

What: Rocky Horror Picture Show
When: Friday, October 12 at from 7:30pm to 11pm
Where: Historic Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery (435 Newark Avenue)
The Harsimus Cemetery is screening the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show tonight. Costumes and audience participation are very encouraged. There will be on site wine, beer, and refreshments available for purchase. Tickets are $15/pp (cash only).

What: The Living Dead Market
When: Saturday, October 13 from 11am to 5pm
Where: Historic Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery
The Jersey City Oddities Market is hosting a ghoulish outdoor market at the Harsimus Cemetery today. The market will feature taxidermy, wet specimens, apothecary goods, and handmade macabre delights from vendors like Lonely Bones Jewelry & Taxidermy, Brain Fever: Artwork by Sammi, Down To The Bone Designs, and The Pogo Beard Company. Admission is $5/pp and proceeds will go toward the maintenance of the cemetery.

What: Kanibal & Co. Merchandise Launch
When: Saturday, October 13 & Sunday, October 14
Where: 197 Montgomery Street
Kanibal & Co. is launching a new line of merchandise inspired by the animals of Jersey City. To celebrate the launch, Kanibal & Co. will have refreshments in store and a raffle to win a pet portrait. Best of all, a portion of the weekend’s proceeds will benefit local rescue groups See Spot Rescued and Jersey Cats.

When: Saturday, October 13 at 3:30pm
Where: 65 Bay Street
Boutique spin studio CycleBar Jersey City is celebrating its grand opening with a free spin class today at 3:30pm. There will be contests, refreshments, local vendors, and pricing specials. Make sure to reserve your bike online asap.

When: Saturday, October 13 from 6pm to 9:30pm
Where: Harborside Atrium
Pinkies up!  The Jersey City Wine Fest is back at the Harborside Atrium for another evening of wine sipping. Sample wines from Argentina, Chile, Australia, Italy, Spain, and more. Tickets to the Jersey City Wine Fest are $70/pp, but you can use coupon “JCUPFRONT” to drop admission down to $50/pp

What: Darke Pines Launches Lunch Sandwiches
When: Saturday, October 13 & Sunday, October 14
Where: 332 Second Street
Sustainable butcher shop Darke Pines is launching a new lunch menu featuring two sandwiches — a Meatball Hero (made w/ grass-fed meatballs, tomato sauce, and mozz on a Balthazar hero) and a Pulled Pork Sandwich (pastured pork shoulder, house BBQ sauce, and a pickled green tomato on a Balthazar brioche).

Happening In Hoboken

What: Liberty Humane Society Bark in the Park
When: Saturday, October 13 from 12pm to 5pm
Where: Church Square Park (401 Willow Avenue)
Bark in the Park is the largest pet festival in Hudson County. It’s also the LHS’ biggest fundraiser of the year. Families, pets, and all are invited to partake in a pet costume contest, strut their 4-legged friends throughout Church Square Park, and meet/mingle with other pet parents. There will be food, a bounce house, and fun activities four all of our 4-legged companions.

What: 2nd Annual Hoboken Pizza Festival
When: Saturday, October 13 from 12pm to 2pm, 3pm to 5pm
Where: Our Lady of Grace Church (400 Willow Avenue)
Get ready, pizza lovers. The 2nd Annual Hoboken Pizza Festival is here. The day long fest is your chance to nosh on some of Hoboken’s best slices. Participating vendors include  Napoli’s, Tony Boloney’s, The Brick, Dozzino, Hot House Pizza, Frankie & Ava’s (Session 1 only) Pizza Vita (Session 1 only), and newly opened Pici Pasta (Session 2 only). There will be free ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s, live music, and a cash bar. A portion of the day’s proceeds will benefit True Mentors — a non-profit that offers mentoring programs to children ages 7 to 17.
