The Table JC cocktailsThe unofficial end of summer has arrived. While there aren’t a lot of events happening in the city this weekend, we’ve rounded up some new spots worth checking out. From The Table in West Side to Ko Cafe in Bergen-Lafayette, here’s a quick list of places to eat, drink, and chill during this long holiday weekend.

What: The Table JC
Where: 400 Claremont at 3 Acres
The team behind Latham House is back with a new restaurant located inside 3 Acres. The Table serves killer cocktails (try the Big in Japan) and a wide range of classic American dishes alongside some Latham House favorites like their Asian Chicken Salad.

Where: 333 Newark Avenue
If you’re a fan of Orale or Dullboy, you’ll want to check out Jane Doe. The new restaurant is serving up Italian-Asian fusion alongside a menu of signature cocktails.

Where: 76 Audrey Zapp Drive
Located inside the Liberty House at Liberty State Park, Maddy Rose is a new Mediterranean restaurant with food that’s as impressive as the New York City views.

Ko is one of Jersey City’s newest and chillest cafes. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee with treats like cookies, apple turnovers, or samosas.

What: Alessio’s Cafe
Where: 99 Franklin
This Hoboken eatery has expanded to the Heights offering a mix of Italian coffee, sandwiches, pizza, and treats.

Where: 579 West Side Avenue
Enjoy Haitian, Latin, and Caribbean eats at Bettie’s. The new BYOB features Haitian-style macaroni gratinée, plantain cups, as well as vegan and pescatarian options

Friday Events

What: Movies on the Pier by Exchange Place Alliance
When: Friday, September 1 at sunset
Where: J. Owen Grundy Park
The Exchange Place Alliance is hosting its last night of Movies on the Pier. This Friday you’ll be able to catch a free screening of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The movie starts at sunset (around 7:30pm). Food and drink will be available for purchase.

Sunday Events

What: Movie Night at Dullboy
When: Sunday, September 3
Where: 364 Grove Street
Every Sunday night, Dullboy will be screening a movie in its patio. The movie will begin at 8pm. Make sure to give them a follow on Instagram to find out what movie they’ll show.
