The team behind popular Jersey City spots Dullboy and Orale is launching a new restaurant this week. Located at 333 Newark Avenue, Jane Doe is an Italian-Asian fusion restaurant offering shared dishes, pasta, and signature cocktails made with Japanese spirits.

There’s no shortage of Italian eateries in Jersey City, but this will be the city’s first Italian-Asian fusion restaurant. While the name Jane Doe doesn’t scream Italian or Asian, the food menu certainly does. It includes dishes like Meatball Yakitori, Octopus Carpaccio, and Lasagna. Jane Doe’s pasta menu will include Linguini with Mussels, Braised Short Rib Ravioli, and Rigatoni. (Gluten free and vegan options will be available upon request).

The cocktail menu at Jane Doe is equally exciting with signature cocktails like The Amber (made with Haku Japanese vodka), The Sakura (made with Roku Japanese gin), and The Serafina (Kikori Japanese whisky + Iwai Japanese whisky). There’s also El Diablo, which is neither Italian or Asian inspired, but still sounds delicious with tequila, mezcal, ginger, and Calabrian chili.

Jane Doe is slated to open sometime this week. You can follow them on Instagram for updates on their opening.
