What: Autism Awareness Street Fair
When: Saturday, May 12 from 1pm to 7pm
Where: First STreet & Jersey Avenue
The Autism Awareness Street Fair was created to raise awareness for autism. The 1-block fair will have local food vendors, activities for kids, music, and more.

What: Jersey City Ballroom Spring Spectacular 
When: Saturday, May 12 from 7pm to 10pm
Where: 189 Brunswick Street (3rd Floor)
The Jersey City Ballroom is celebrating its three-year anniversary with an evening of dance performances by students and instructors. There will be mini-group classes and an open dance floor during intermission. Refreshments and wine will be served.

What: Thirsty Quaker 4th Anniversary BBQ 
When: Sunday, May 13 from 1pm to 7pm
Where: 492 Monmouth Street
The Thirsty Quaker is turning four and to celebrate they’re breaking out the homemade beer, homemade sangria, and other adult drinks. There will also be table games, hot dogs, hamburgers, and veggie burgers, — all complimentary.

For Mom

What: Mother’s Day Brunch & Dinner at Harry’s Daughter
When: Sunday, May 12 from 12pm to 4:30pm; 6pm to 11pm
Where: 339 Communipaw Avenue
Leave it to Harry’s Daughter to add some spice to your Mother’s Day plans. The Caribbean gastropub is offering Mother’s Day brunch and dinner options, with a live band playing reggae classics from 6pm to 9pm.

What: Mother’s Day Brunch at Talde
When: Sunday, May 12
Where: 8 Erie Street
If your mom prefers her brunch to come with a gochujang glaze, take her to Talde where she’ll feast on a new menu that mixes traditional Filipino cuisine with that of other Asian cuisines, like their Korean-inspired gochujang glazed fried cauliflower. Or opt for the popuar Taylor, Ham, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich (pictured) with sriracha ketchup and waffles.

What: Mother’s Day Buffet at Liberty House Restaurant

Where: 76 Audrey Zapp Drive
If the view don’t impress her, the food certainly will. The Liberty House Restaurant is offering an all-day Mother’s Day Buffet with a breakfast station, pasta station, carving station, and seafood station. Admission is $58/pp and $29/per child.

Third & Vine has Mother’s Day brunch covered with a variety of small plates featuring everything from French toast to steak and eggs. Plus, don’t forget the wines and cheeses.

Where: 230 Brunswick Street (Hamilton Park); 179 Warren Street (Paulus Hook)
Sometimes mom just wants a burger. A really amazing burger. That’s why you’ll want to treat her to brunch at White Star, which has over eight craft burgers to choose from. Both locations will offer Mother’s Day brunch options, but you’ll need to make reservations for the Warren Street location. Alternatively, you can treat mom to some Southern hospitality at Mathews.
