The Weekender: Morning Yoga at Harborside, Sunday Brunch at Corgi Spirits

It’s the last weekend of February and while the spring-like weather is gone, there’s still lots to do in Jersey City. From a 90s party at Hudson Hall to a group yoga class at the Harborside Atrium, here are your best bets for weekend fun.

What: Departed Soles Beer Release
When: Friday, February 23 from 4pm
Where: 150 Bay Street
Departed Soles is celebrating the release of yet another new beer — Doughnut Soles. The white stout is a collaboration with Montclair Bread Company and “has the aroma of a brioche donut, the heavy body of a stout, the appearance of a blonde, and subtle chocolate and coffee flavors.”

What: 90s Night at Hudson Hall
When: Friday, February 23 at 10pm
Where: 364 Marin Boulevard
From Brit-rock to Britney — indulge in all things 90s at Hudson Hall’s 90s Dance Party with DJ Nikki Mixx. For a more family-friendly outing, The Fuzzy Lemons will be at Hudson Hall on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm.

What: Music & Yoga at Harborside
When: Saturday, February 24 from 11am to 12pm
Where: Harborside Atrium
The Harborside Atrium will be transformed into a massive yoga studio this weekend complete with live music. The yoga class, which is open to all levels, will be taught by certified instructor Meghan Kramer and music will be courtesy of musician (and yoga instructor) James Calleo. Admission is $5/pp (Bring your own mat). Stay for brunch at Piggyback Bar and you’ll get a free mimosa.

What: Horror Night at Loew’s Theater
When: Saturday, February 24 at 6pm
Where: 54 Journal Square
It’s classic horror movie night at the Loew’s Theater. The evening will kick off with a showing of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (6pm) followed by a screening of Silence of he Lambs (8pm). Tickets for each film are $8 for adults or $6 for kids/seniors. (Combo pricing is also available).

What: Corgi Spirits Brunch Sundays
When: Sunday, February 25
Where: 1 Distillery Drive
While there’s nothing wrong with a liquid brunch (we won’t judge), Corgi Spirits wants to ensure you don’t go hungry while enjoying your favorite cocktails. So this Sunday they’ll have a food truck on site at the tasting room fulfilling all of your brunch desires.
