From end of summer block parties to the pre-release of a Jersey City-made whiskey, say goodbye to September and enjoy the fall-like weather with our pick of the best weekend events.

What: Corgi Spirits Gin/Whiskey Release Party
When: Friday, September 28 from 5pm to 11pm
Where: 1 Distillery Drive
Corgi Spirits is debuting some new fall drinks tonight. First up is their Smoking Lounge Gin — an autumn gin which includes ingredients such as angelica, cubeb (berries), sweet orange, cardamom, and applewood smoke. Corgi will also debut its first whiskey, the Cardigan Whiskey — a 50/50 blend of American barley and Canadian rye, aged 4 years. There will be complimentary tastings of both along with a raffle to win a bottle of each before they’re officially released.

What: Jurassic Park at Loew’s Theater
When: Friday, September 28 from 8pm to 10:30pm
Where: 54 Journal Square
It’s been 25 years since the original (1993) Jurassic Park first hit theaters. Relive all that dinosaur glory on a giant 50-foot widescreen display at the Loew’s Theater.  Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for kids/seniors.

What: Famous Food Market Oktoberfest Edition
When: Saturday, September 29 from 12pm to 7pm
Where: 200 Greene Street (Urby Parking Lot)
We’re down to the final two Famous Food Markets of the season and today’s market will be all about Oktoberfest complete with a pig roast. There will also be outdoor games, giveaways, and pumpkin painting.

What: Liberty Harbor Block Party
When: Saturday, September 29 from 12pm to 5pm
Where: 30 Regent Street
Liberty Harbor has teamed up with Marketplace JC for its 3rd Annual Block Party. The party will include local vendors, food trucks, live music, face painting, and a bounce house for the kids. Confirmed vendors include Eemas Cuisine, No Forks Given, Koro Koro Rice Balls, Bella’s Face Painting, O’LaLa Empanadas, and more.

What: Books & Brunch at Talde
When: Saturday, September 29 from 12pm to 2pm
Where: 8 Erie Street
HGTV’s Kitchen Cousins, Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri, will be reading (and signing copies) of their newly published children’s book “What Can You Do With A Toolbox” at Talde today. The book brings the cousins’ knowledge on design and construction to a younger audience. In addition to the book reading, Talde will offer a build your own pancake bar (with free pancakes for kids), complimentary mimosas for adults, face painting, arts and crafts activities, and a chance to win Talde gift cards and signed copies of the book.

What: Whealth 1-Year Anniversary
When: Saturday, September 29 from 7pm to 10pm
Where: Whealth Cafe at Journal Squared
Celebrate the 1-year anniversary of Whealth’s Journal Squared Cafe (located at the base of the Journal Squared tower) with a special dinner and small musical performance by Whealth founder, David Trotta. Guests will be treated to a 3-course farm-to-table dinner (BYOB). Tickets are $55/pp.

What: 3rd Annual End of Summer Block Party
When: Sunday, September 30 from 12pm to 3pm
Where: 255 Brunswick at Hamilton House
Say a final farewell to September at the 3rd Annual End of Summer Block Party. The family-friendly block party will transform the two blocks near Jones Park into a playground with music, food, a bounce house, basketball competition, and more.

What: Women’s Networking Lunch at Third & Vine
When: Sunday, September 30 from 1pm to 5pm
Where: 353 Third Street
Third & Vine is hosting a networking lunch designed for the female entrepreneur this afternoon. The panel — hosted by Jersey Girls Food Tours’ Alessia Aron — will feature five local women who will share their experience starting and running a business. Profits and proceeds will be donated to Community Food Bank.
