Lyft is giving Jersey City residents $445 in credits if they ditch their car for 30 days.
The Ditch Your Car challenge originated in Chicago this past July and has been so successful that the ride hailing company has expanded the challenge to over 35 cities, including Jersey City.
You must enter and win the Ditch Your Car contest before you can get the credits. (Users have until September 30 at 11:59pm PST to enter the contest). In Jersey City, Lyft will pick 50 random winners. They’ll get:
- $300 Lyft Shared credit
- 1 month Zipcar membership & free activation, plus $100 drive credit
- 30-day Citi Bike membership (valued at $14.95 based on annual membership installment billing)
Participants are encouraged to post about their 30-day challenge on social media and Lyft will conduct pre- and post-challenge interviews to gauge reactions. The challenge will run from October 8 through November 6.
