From brunch at Sushi by Bou to the grand opening of the Law of Donutgineering, here are the best things to do in Jersey City this weekend. Plus, don’t forget — we lose an hour of sleep this weekend as Daylight Saving time begins.

New Spots to Try:

ITA Italian Kitchen: There’s a new restaurant located at 686 Bergen Avenue. ITA Kitchen is a modern Italian restaurant serving farm-to-table rustic Italian cuisine. They’re open from 5pm to 11pm (closed Sunday).

Law of Donutgineering: Straight from the fryer, The Law of Donutgineering is a new craft donut shop at 7 Bleecker in the Heights. They soft open on Friday (March 6) with a list of sweet and savory oversized donuts.

What: JC Fridays Art Shows
When: Friday, March 6 from 7pm to 10pm
Where: throughout Jersey City
JC Fridays is a quarterly arts festival with various events happening throughout Jersey City. Events include holiday pop-ups, live musical performances, art galleries, and more. You can check out the full list of events here.

Zeppelin Hall Jersey City

What: Zeppelin Hall Surf & Turf Festival
When: Friday through Sunday
Where: 88 Liberty View Drive
Surf & Turf Festival has been extended through March 8. You have one more weekend to check out Zeppelin Hall’s seven new surf & turf entrees. They include a Classic Surf & Turf entree ($29), Surf & Turf Empanadas ($13), and a Dino Rib w/ Whole Lobster for two ($65, pictured).

What: Sushi by Bou Launches New Brunch Menu
When: Saturdays & Sundays from 12pm to 3pm
Where: 218A Newark Avenue
Omakase speakeasy Sushi by Bou is launching new brunch service this weekend. Located in the back room at Ani Ramen, the 8-seat restaurant will charge $50/pp for a 12-piece sushi brunch. Plus, this weekend you’ll get a complimentary cocktail with your lunch when you make reservations online.

What: St. Patrick’s Day Brunch at the Corkscrew Bar
When: Saturday, March 7 from 11am to 4pm
Where: 61 Congress Street
St. Patrick’s Day isn’t till the 17th, but Corkscrew Bar is getting an early start on the festivities with its St. Patrick’s Day Brunch. They’ll have $8 Roe and Co. Irish Coffees and $5 Green Bloody Mary’s.
