What: Korean Eats Pop-Up at The Cottage
When: Fridays through Sundays from 4pm till sold out
Where: 136 Monticello Avenue
The Cottage Jersey City is hosting it final Korean food pop-up this weekend. The event will be held outdoors in the market’s garden and customers will be able to choose from rice bowls, fried chicken, Korean beef, and more.

What: Madame Claude Bis Theater Dinner
When: Thursdays through Saturdays
Where: 390 Fourth Street
French bistro Madame Claude Bis is expanding its seating to neighboring White Eagle Hall. Thursdays through Saturdays, diners will have the option of eating outdoors, inside the restaurant, or inside a dining hall set up inside White Eagle Hall. The concert venue boasts high ceilings, more space for better social distancing, and a stage where you’ll enjoy French music by Manouche Bag. Reservations are strongly recommended. (This will be an ongoing event Thursdays through Saturdays).

When: Friday, December 18 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Tony Boloney’s virtual cooking classes are back this Friday with a virtual calzone making class. Purchase your kit by 5pm (in-store) on Friday and log on for the free class. The kit costs $89 and includes all the necessary ingredients including 4 balls of pizza dough, fresh mozzarella, burrata, dry-aged mozzarella, spicy Calabrian soppressata, pink vodka sauce, balsamic honey, fresh basil, Calabrian chili spread, lemon vinaigrette, and mushrooms.

What: Holiday Artist & Maker Market
When: Saturday, December 19 from 12pm to 6pm
Where: Grove Plaza + The Ashford
Complete your holiday shopping at the annual Winter Artist & Maker Market. The market will be held in two locations simultaneously: at Grove Plaza (outside the PATH station) and at the rooftop of The Ashford (145 Newark Avenue). There will be an Instagram-able Santa Station, drink specials, and a giveaway for one lucky shopper.

What: JC Pride Holiday Party
When: Saturday, December 19 at 3:30pm and 7pm
Where: Headroom Lounge at 150 Bay
Jersey City Pride is hosting its first ever holiday party to celebrate the end of a crazy year. There will be two seatings at 3:30pm and another seating at 7pm. Admission is free.

What: Jersey City Nutcracker: The Movie
When: Saturday, December 19 & 20th at 5pm
Where: online
Set to Tchaikovsky’s renowned orchestral score, Jersey City Nutcracker tells the story of two children’s city adventure, following them through fantasy, adversity, and celebration, with lessons about friendship and community along the way. The annual show will premier as a movie this year through a hosted online viewing party. Tickets are pay what you wish with a suggested minimum of $15 per viewer.

What: Loew’s Theater Movie Night
When: Saturday, December 19 from 6pm
Where: 54 Journal Square
The Loew’s Theater will screen A Christmas Story (1983) tonight at 6pm. It’ll be followed by Scrooge (1970) at 8:15pm. Tickets are $8 per show or $14 for the double feature. Seats are limited due to the pandemic and social distancing.

Sunday Events

What: Movie Night at Dullboy
When: Sunday, December 20 at 6pm + 8pm
Where: 364 Grove Street
Every Sunday night, Dullboy will be screening a movie in its heated patio. The first showing is at 6pm followed by a second showing at 8pm. Make sure to give them a follow on Instagram to find out what movie they’ll show.
