The final weekend of the decade is here. While there aren’t many events happening per se, there are lots of bars and restaurants offering holiday-themed drinks and treats. Here are a few spots we recommend hitting up over the weekend.

Bread and Salt (435 Palisade Avenue): The Heights’ Bread and Salt will be open and dishing out pizzas today starting at 12pm. Plus, get those New Year’s Eve panettone orders in while you can. (Holiday hours)

Cellar 335 (335 Newark Avenue): You can still enjoy Cellar 335’s holiday-themed tiki drinks for one more week. Sleigh ‘n Leis ends the first week of January.

Departed Soles (150 Bay): BrrrBerry is Departed Soles’ new gluten free beer. It’ll be available as of Friday and a Tasting Room exclusive for the next two weekends. (Holiday hours)

Freetown Road Project (640 Newark Avenue): Jersey City native, Chopped champion, and Porta executive chef Claude Lewis opens his first solo restaurant today. Freetown Road Project will offer modern cuisine from Antigua. The restaurant is located near the Fiver Corners on Newark Avenue.

The Kitchen Step (500 Jersey Avenue): The Kitchen Step’s new winter cocktail menu is officially out. Plus, the restaurant has been offering classic cocktails on Sunday nights with a little history on the origins of today’s most famous libations.

Miracle on Mercer (292 Barrow): This is the last weekend that holiday pop-up bar Miracle on Mercer will remain open. (The pop-up closes on December 31). Get your boozy Christmas on while you can.
