What: Mezcal Kitchen 1-Year Anniversary

Mexican BYOB restaurant Mezcal Kitchen is celebrating its 1-year anniversary tonight. The party includes live music (after 5:30pm) and various specials/surprises.

What: Procel Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Grand Opening
When: Friday, January 3 from 7:30pm to 9pm
Where: 189 Brunswick
Keep your resolution of staying in shape by attending the grand opening of Procel Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — a new martial arts studio in the Village. (They’ve been open for awhile, but this is their official grand opening). Anyone who signs up tonight gets 50% off their enrollment for the month of January.

The Vanguard Harrison Cocktails

What: Franklin Social Soft Opening Weekend
When: Friday through Tuesday
Where: 292 Barrow
Franklin Social is a new colonial-themed cocktail bar serving beer, cocktails, wine, and food. Operated by the same team behind The Vanguard Harrison (which we happen to be big fans of), it’s downtown’s first cocktail bar of 2020. Reservations are required during their soft open. What: Greenville Art Walk
When: Sunday, January 5 from 1pm to 5pm
Where: 102 Martin Luther King Drive
Greenville Art Walk is a new monthly art series held every first Sunday of the month. Spearheaded by the Jersey City Theater Center, it’ll feature art exhibitions, music events, paint-and-sips, poetry events, and film screenings in storefronts along Martin Luther King Drive and other areas of Greenville. This Sunday’s “walk” kicks off at Cherry’s Lounge at 102 Martin Luther King Drive. NJ.com has more details on the event.

What: 7th Annual LGBTQ Wedding Expo at Liberty House
When: Sunday, January 5 from 12:30pm to 3:30pm
Where: 76 Audrey Zapp Drive
The Liberty House restaurant is hosting the 7th Annual LGBTQ Wedding Expo this afternoon. The event is free to attend and will feature dozens of LGBTQ-friendly wedding and travel professionals.

What: Barcade Family Day
When: Sunday, January 5 from 12pm to 5pm
Where: 163 Newark Avenue
Show your PUBG addicted kids what it’s like to play 80s/90s classics during Barcade’s Family Day. There will be a special food menu for kids and plenty of beer for mom/dad. Plus, don’t forget the arcade games.
