Choc-o-Pain art show at Hudson Tea Building (Monday)
Choc-o-Pain is celebrating the grand opening of its newest location at the Hudson Tea Building (in Hoboken) with an art show highlighting the work of local artist Jennifer Krause Chapeau. Light refreshments and wine will be served from 5pm to 7pm. (There will also be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12:30pm).

Become a French wine and cheese expert (Wednesday)
Van Hook Cheese and Jersey Wine & Spirits are teaming up for a casual French wine and cheese class. The class will sample five pairings discussing the history, production, and taste of each wine/cheese. Admission is $40/pp.

Explore the future of cannabis in Jersey City (Wednesday)
Governor Phil Murphy is seeking to legalize the recreational use of marijuana in New Jersey. How will that affect Jersey City and its surrounding neighborhoods? Find out at The Green Rush: an open discussion on the future of marijuana in Jersey City. The event is free to attend and will be held at Hudson Hall.

Zeppelin Hall BBQ fest (Thursday)
Zeppelin Hall is bringing the best of the south straight to Jersey City with a new Texas BBQ menu that features mouth-watering entrees like the Austin Brisket Sandwich, Dallas Double Beef Ribs, and the Texas Tailgate Burger. The fest runs through May 13.

Celebrate science and music at LSC After Dark (Thursday)
Forget Coachella — this Thursday LSC is celebrating science and music during its SciChella-themed party. That means live DJs, local eats, and tasty cocktails. Tickets are $20 online or $25 at the door.

Discover the wines of Italy (Thursday)
Liberty House’s wine-tasting adventure around the world continues tonight and stop number three will features the wines of Italy. Admission is $59/pp and it includes food and wine.

Flower-arranging workshop at Corgi Spirits (Thursday)
Celebrate the warm weather with Sparkling Spirits — a casual flower-arranging workshop led by Alice’s Table. Flowers and vases are included with admission ($65/pp) and you’ll enjoy $8 cocktails all night courtesy of Corgi Spirits.

Unwind with yoga and wine at Three Little Birds (Thursday)
Nothing compliments a relaxing yoga session like a post-workout glass of wine and cheese. Join local wine expert Lourdes Arena and yoga teacher Michelle Goitia for Vinyasa & Vino at Three Little Birds. The evening starts with a yoga workout and ends with a wine and cheese tasting. Admission is $45/pp and the event runs from 7pm to 9pm at 16 Erie street.

Autism Awareness fundraiser at Hard Grove (Thursday)
Downtown’s Smile Preschool is hosting its first annual Autism Awareness Fundraiser dinner at Hard Grove. Admission is $50/pp and includes a buffet of food and drinks.

Subculture Grand Opening (Friday)
A new lunch spot is opening in the village this week. Subculture is a shop focusing on subs and sandwiches. The shop’s ribbon cutting will occur at 11:30am with Mayor Fulop.

Masquerade Ball at the Jersey City Ballroom (Friday)
Dance your way into the weekend at the Jersey City Ballroom’s Friday Night Masquerade. Open to beginners and experts alike, the night includes a dance class, raffle, mixer, dance performances, and food/wine. Come with a friend or come by yourself. Admission is $12/pp.
