From Halloween parties to a Pilsner Urquell party — here’s the best of what’s happening in Jersey City this last week of October. (Plus, a reminder that PATH fare increases kick in this Friday, so refill your SmartLink cards beforehand).

East Coast Greenway Alliance at CoolVines Powerhouse (Monday)

CoolVines Powerhouse is hosting the East Coast Greenway Alliance at its shop tonight. The ECG is the non-profit behind the development of the East Coast Greenway — a 3,000-mile bike route/path that connects Maine to Florida. Learn all about the “Greenway” and how Jersey City’s Bergen Arches fit into the picture.

Sake and Whisky Night at Ani Ramen (Tuesday)

Ani Ramen is hosting its monthly Soul of Sake dinner tonight. The event is dedicated to pairing sake and whisky. (Two of our favorite drinks!) Admission is $38/pp (online) or $42/pp (at the door). It includes two featured sakes, one featured Suntory whisky, an appetizer, and your choice of a bowl of ramen.

Thrifty Tuesdays at Mathews (Tuesday)

Mathews is launching a weekly special for cash-strapped foodies. Every Tuesday the restaurant will offer food specials and happy hour cocktail prices from 5pm till closing.

Craft Night at The Cliff (Tuesday) 

The Cliff is hosting a Craft Night with Rivington Rose. You’ll learn to make your own wreath from seasonal, dried flowers while enjoying treats and drinks from The Cliff. Admission is $35/pp and includes food/drinks and materials. (Animal Lovers Insider recorded a feature spotlighting Rivington Rose owner/creator, Rebecca Ferreira).

Corgi Spirits Halloween Party (Thursday)

Looking for a Halloween party that’ll be kind to your wallet (and offer killer drinks)? Corgi Spirits is offering $8 cocktail specials all night and 15% off your check if you come dressed in costume.

Halloween Tiki Party at Cellar 335 (Thursday)

Celebrate Halloween with the tiki gods at Cellar 355. Their Outer Space Tiki Night party will include drink specials, a costume contest, and prizes for the night’s top three costumes.

Nightmare on Wayne Street at The Pint (Thursday)

The Pint is celebrating Halloween with its Nightmare on Wayne Street costume party. Plus, best costume of the night wins $100.

Halloween Family Bash at Pedestrian Plaza (Thursday)

The Pedestrian Plaza is turning into a Halloween playground for kids today. The party is free, but $5 gets your child admission to all of the bouncy houses and face painting is an extra $5. All trick-or-treat candy is free while supplies last.

White Star Bar Halloween Party (Thursday)

The White Star Bar at Warren is celebrating Halloween with all-night happy hour specials, a costume party, and prizes for the night’s best dressed ghouls.

Mezcal Kitchen Dia de Los Muertos Party (Friday)

A live mariachi band and excellent Mexican eats are on tap for Mezcal Kitchen’s Dia de Los Muertos Party. The party starts at 5:30pm and remember: Mezcal Kitchen is BYOB!

Dia de los Muertos Party at Los Dos (Friday to Sunday)

Los Dos is kicking off the weekend with an all-day/multi-day happy hour to celebrate Halloween and el Dia de los Muertos.

The Ashford Halloween Party (Friday)

Why have one Halloween party when you can have two? The Ashford is hosting its second Halloween Bash tonight with a costume party and 4 floors of Halloween fun.

Pilsner Urquell Party at Würstbar (Friday to Sunday)

Würstbar is celebrating the birth date of the original Pilsner Urquell by flying in some unfiltered/unpasteurized Pilsner straight from the Czech Republic. (Side note: I’ve had it before at Würstbar and it tastes pretty great).

Cajun Fest at Zeppelin Hall (Friday through Sunday/Nov. 24)

Feast in everything that’s N’awlins-related during Zeppelin Hall’s annual Cajun Festival. Zeppelin’s “Cajun Menu” includes dishes like Shrimp & Grits, Salmon Jambalaya, Crawfish Boil, and plenty of Po’Boy options.
