It’s a busy week ahead in Jersey City. From a new menu drop at Plant Base to a retro games night at Keyhole Bar — here’s your weekly roundup of things to do in Jersey City.

New Menu Launch at Plant Base (Monday)

Keep those New Year’s resolutions to eat healthier by checking out the new food menu at  Plant Base, Jersey City’s zero-waste vegan market. (370 Pacific Avenue)

Winter Menu Launch at Porta (Monday)

We can all use a little more Italian in our lives. Pizzeria and Italian restaurant Porta just released its new winter menu, which includes everything from pizzas and pastas to salads and winter veggies. Check it out here. (135 Newark Avenue)

Zeppelin Hall Food Truck Mondays (Monday)

Zeppelin Hall is partnering with local food trucks to launch Food Truck Mondays. Each Monday this month, a different food truck will be parked outside Zeppelin Hall and customers will be allowed to bring their food into the biergarten to enjoy. This week, IncrediBalls will be parked outside starting at 5:30pm. (88 Liberty View Drive)

Open House at Jersey City Ballroom (Tuesday)

From salsa to swing, the Jersey City Ballroom is the spot to learn all your dance moves. Tonight the studio will host a free open house where you can learn some new moves and watch some dance pros in action. The free event is from 9:15pm to 10pm. (189 Brunswick Street, 3rd Fl.)

Tapas Special at Broa Cafe (Mondays through Thursdays)

From Mondays through Thursdays at Broa Cafe, diners can get four tapas for just $45 as part of Broa’s “Tapas Roulette” special. Plus, you also get a side salad of your choice. Don’t forget to BYOB. (297 Grove)

Bacon Fest at Zeppelin Hall (through Sunday, January 26)

Get ready to enjoy bacon on everything from burgers to lasagna as Bacon Fest returns to Zeppelin Hall through Sunday, January 26. The limited time bacon menu includes entrees like bacon ‘smores and a 42-ounce tomahawk ribeye steak wrapped in bacon. (88 Liberty View Drive)

Retro Games Night at Keyhole Bar (Tuesdays)

The Keyhole Bar is going old-school with its new Retro Games Night. Grab a wireless NES/SNES controller from the bar, choose from over 60 games, and have at it with your friends. Available games include Mario Kart, Contra, Galaga, and more. (242 Bay Street)

KTU LatinXchange at FM Bar (Thursday)

103.5 KTU’s Lulu and Lala will be at FM Bar tonight for LatinXchange — a night showcasing local Latinx artists and creators. There will be performances by the Lo-Fis (indie rock), Arlo Bloom (indie pop), and more. Plus, tickets include wine/beer and food from Rumba Cubana, O’Lala Empanadas, and Jenn Cakes. Walter Parks & Rob Curto Perform at Cathedral Arts Live (Friday)

Cathedral Arts Live return for their 2020 season with guitarist Walter Parks performing his creative mix of swamp blues, folk, and jazz at Grace Church Van Vorst tonight. Parks will be joined by accordion ace Rob Curto. Admission to the show is $20 online or $25 at the door. (30 Erie Street)

Watercoloring Pet Workshop with Boring Crafts (Friday)

Attention all pet owners! Learn the ins and outs of watercolor painting using your 4-legged friend as your muse during Boring Cake’s watercolor pet workshop. Winard Harper Quartet at Provost Jazz (Friday)

The Winard Harper Quartet with Houston Person will perform at Provost Jazz tonight. Admission is $20/pp with performances scheduled for Friday and Saturday night. (150 Bay)
