Bacon Fest Zeppelin HallIt’s going to be an abnormally warm 63 degrees this weekend, so leave the Netflix binges for another time and make sure to enjoy the outdoors. If you’re looking for some local events to check out, Zeppelin Hall’s Bacon Fest starts Friday and Saturday morning there’s a rally to save Caven Point from being demolished. All that and more in our weekend roundup.

What: Bacon Fest at Zeppelin Hall

From bacon burgers to bacon lasagna — Bacon Fest is back at Zeppelin Hall as of tonight. Through Sunday, January 26, you can order entrees from a special bacon menu that includes dishes like bacon grilled cheese, bacon mac & cheese, and a 64-ounce tomahawk ribeye steak wrapped in bacon.

What: Extra! Extra! Comedy Show at JSQ Lounge
When: Friday, January 10 at 8:30pm
Where: 50 Journal Square
JSQ Lounge is hosting a standup comedy night with host Irv Hernandez. The show starts at 8:30pm and will feature Kayt Hester, Eleazar Guzman, Pedro Gonzalez, Connor Dixon, and Jared Freid.

What: Corgi Spirits Winter Cocktail Release
When: Friday, January 10 from 7pm to 10pm
Where: 1 Distillery Drive
Corgi Spirits is inviting you (and a guest) to check out their new winter cocktail menu. (You get a complimentary tasting of one of their new cocktails). The distillery will also have $8 cocktail specials, live music by Tessa & Noah, and Incrediballs food truck on site from 6pm.

What: Departed Soles NJ SkateHops Release
When: Friday, January 10 from 4pm to 10pm
Where: 150 Bay Street
Local brewery Departed Soles is releasing its new triple dry hopped pale ale — NJ SkateHops — this weekend. $1 from every pint of NJ SkateHops sold, along with 10% of all to-go packaged good sales, will be benefit the families of those affected by the December shooting in Greeneville and will also go toward making skateboarding more accessible to the less fortunate (in collaboration with the opening of the skate park at Berry Lane Park).

What: Puerto Rican Vegan Eats at Plant Base

When: Saturday, January 11 from 10:30am to 11:30am
Where: Harborside Atrium
Mozart for Munchkins brings live classical music to kids. The show will include performances of nursery rhymes, classical composers, and even iconic songs from the Beatles, as played by The Metropolitan Horn Authority. There will even be a special cover of “Baby Shark.” Admission is $35/pp.

Rally for Caven Point

What: Rally to Protect Caven Point (Liberty State Park)
When: Saturday, January 11 at 11am to 11:30am
Where: LSP at Southside Flag Plaza
The Friends of Liberty State Park is holding a rally to protect Caven Point from privatization and destruction. There will also be a guided nature walk to Caven Point after the rally.

Where: 194 Newark Avenue
Get ready for an all-night 90s R&B party at Left Bank Burger. There will be live music by DJs Suaso, Kevlov, and Luv as well as live acoustics by Germain.
