What you need to know for Friday morning:

1: Jersey City has 25 positive coronavirus cases and 38 cases pending with the CDC, said Mayor Fulop in Thursday’s briefing. According to the mayor, there are no COVID-19 clusters so far in Jersey City. The mayor also said there would be no briefing on Friday. 2: As of March 19 at 12pm, there are 742 (up from 427) positive COVID-19 cases in New Jersey with 9 deaths total. The five counties with the most positive cases are:

  • Bergen County (195 up from 114)
  • Middlesex (64 up from 40)
  • Essex (63 up from 45)
  • Hudson (55 up from 34)
  • Monmouth (43 up from 32)

3: Three NJ Transit employees have tested positive for COVID-19. The individuals are in quarantine, their workspaces have been cleaned, and the agency has contacted other individuals who may have been in contact with the three workers. —NorthJersey

4: An Amazon employee in a Queens warehouse has tested positive for COVID-19. If you aren’t already, wash your hands after you open mail and packages. Then wipe down the area where you opened said packages/mail. —Gothamist
