What you need to know for Saturday morning:

1: Two positive COVID-19 cases have been reported in the Jersey City Police Department, reports NorthJersey.com. There’s been one positive case in the East District and one in the West District. The person in the East District has been quarantined along with five other individuals they came in contact with. The person in the West District is also in quarantine along with three individuals they were in contact with. A third person is awaiting results. (As of Saturday morning, city officials have not updated Jersey City’s numbers. So we still stand at 25 positive coronavirus cases and 38 cases pending). —NorthJersey.com

2: As of March 21 (late afternoon), there are 1,327 (up from 890) positive COVID-19 cases in New Jersey with 16 deaths (up from 11) total. The five counties with the most positive cases are:

  • Bergen County (363 up from 249)
  • Middlesex (116 up from 76)
  • Essex (107 up from 73)
  • Hudson (97 up from 66)
  • Monmouth (92 up from 53)
