What to Expect from Orale’s New Hoboken Restaurant

“Loud, pumping music” and a cocktail-centric bar program with late hours are just a few of the things you can expect from the forthcoming Órale restaurant in Hoboken, according to the restaurant’s official press release (PDF).

The popular Jersey City restaurant — known for both its delicious Mexican eats and its graffiti-laden interior — will open in the space briefly occupied by Porter Collins at 1426 Willow Avenue.

As spotted by Hoboken Girl, Órale’s signature graffiti style decor has already arrived in the Mile Square City. But what can diners expect in terms of food?

So far it looks like Órale Hoboken will feature much of the same Mexican-inspired cuisine found in Órale’s Jersey City location. That includes everything from veggie enchiladas (the best we’ve had) to tacos and seafood mixiote (pictured below).

However, unlike the Jersey City location, Órale Hoboken will feature a large private dining room that can accommodate up to 100 guests. The restaurant will also get a few exclusive menu items, which have yet to be disclosed.

“We’re excited to bring our signature food, drinks and vibe to Hoboken,” said Alex Mendelsohn, Orale’s co-owner in a written statement. “We’ve worked hard to make Órale the most consistently delicious and fun place to be in Jersey City, and we’re looking forward to achieving the same thing on an even bigger scale in Hoboken.”

Órale Hoboken is expected to open late fall/early winter of this year.
