Zeppelin Hall Surf and Turf

What: Departed Soles New Beer Release
When: Friday, February 28 at 4pm
Where: 150 Bay Street
Departed Soles has teamed up with Modcup to release a new version of their Modcup of Sole stout. The new stout is made with a cold brew mix of 50% washed Central American Coffee and 50% Bali coffee beans “for an exotic, fruity, sweet coffee flavor.” Best of all, a portion of sales will benefit the Jersey City Firefighters’ Distress Fund.

What: Rombauer Vineyards Tastemaker Dinner at Ruth’s Chris
When: Friday, February 28 at 6:30pm
Where: 499 Washington Blvd.
Ruth’s Chris’ first Tastemaker Dinner of 2020 kicks off tonight with a five-course dinner paired with Bombardier wines. Dinner is $110/pp.

What: Kona tap takeover at the Corkscrew Bar
When: Friday, February 28 from 7pm to 9pm
Where: 61 Congress Street
Hawaii’s Kona Brewing Company is taking over the taps at the Corkscrew Bar & Grill tonight. Kick back and enjoy their Big Wave Golden Ale, Kanaha Blonde Ale, Island Colada Cream Ale, or Gold Cliff IPA.

What: Zeppelin Hall Surf & Turf Festival
When: Friday through Sunday
Where: 88 Liberty View Drive
Surf & Turf Festival is back at Zeppelin Hall with 7 new surf & turf items on the biergarten’s menu. They include a Classic Surf & Turf entree ($29), Surf & Turf Empanadas with beef and crab meat ($13), and a Dino Rib w/ Whole Lobster for two ($65).

Saturday Events

What: The Bad and the Beautiful at Loew’s Theatre
When: Saturday, February 29 from 6pm to 8pm
Where: 54 Journal Square Plaza
Catch the late Kirk Douglas and Lana Turner in Vincent Minelli’s — The Bad and the Beautiful. Admission is $8 for adults or see it along with Singin’ In The Rain (at 8:15pm) for just $14.

What: Singin’ in the Rain at Loew’s Theatre
When: Saturday, February 29 from 8:15pm to 10pm
Where: 54 Journal Square Plaza
This classic doesn’t need an intro. Catch Singin’ in the Rain in 35mm on the Loew’s massive 50-foot screen. Admission is $8 for adults or see it along with The Bad and the Beautiful for $14.

What: PS Wine Bar R&B Night
When: Saturday, February 29 from 10pm
Where: 193 Newark Avenue
PS Wine Bar is bringing back the funk with its R&B and Soul music party. Dance the night away while enjoying some natural wines. The party starts at 10pm.

McGinley Square Yoga Series

What: McGinley Square Yoga Series
When: Sunday, March 1 from 10am to 11am
Where: El Cocotero at 749 Bergen Avenue
The McGinley Square Special Improvement District is debuting its new McGinley Square Yoga Series. The free class will be held at El Cocotero from 10am to 11am (bring your own mat). The class is open to all levels and will be followed by prizes, treats, physical therapy consultations, and more. A $10 suggested donation is encouraged.

What: Barcade Family Day
When: Sunday, March 1 from 12pm to 5pm
Where: 163 Newark Avenue
Family Day is back at Barcade giving parents the opportunity to show their kids the retro arcade games they grew up with when they were young. Barcade will provide brews for the moms and dads alongside a special kids menu for the little ones.

What: Greenville Art Walk Women’s History Month
When: Sunday, March 1 from 1pm to 5pm
Where: 102 Martin Luther King Drive
Greenville Art Walk is a monthly art series held every first Sunday of the month. Spearheaded by the Jersey City Theater Center, it’ll feature art exhibitions, music events, paint-and-sips, poetry events, and film screenings in storefronts along Martin Luther King Drive and other areas of Greenville. This Sunday’s “walk” kicks off at Cherry’s Lounge at 102 Martin Luther King Drive and will celebrate Women’s History Month.

What: Game Night at Low Fidelity
When: Sunday, March 1 from 6pm to 10pm
Where: 328 Palisade Avenue
The Riverview Neighborhood Association is hosting its first Game Night of 2020 at Low Fidelity. Bring any games you’d like to share (dominoes, cards, etc) and enjoy a night of drinks and games.
