Time to burn off those All About Downtown calories. The Ruth’s Chris Newport Half takes you through Jersey City’s most iconic neighborhoods including Newport, Liberty State Park, Paulus Hook, and the waterfront. Last year, over 2,500 runners took part in the race and another record-breaking marathon is expected this year. Online registration is closed, but you can register the morning of for $65. (On-site registration starts at 6:30am, but I’ve seen runners register as late as 8am. That said, earlier is definitely better than later).
