Reggae band The Brooklyners will perform at Fox & Crow tonight. Admission is $10/pp. Proof of vaccination will be required.

What: 6th Annual Taste of Culture
When: Thursday, April 28 from 6pm to 8pm
Where: City Hall at 280 Grove Street
Taste of Culture is a city event that features and celebrates the cultural and ethnic diversity of Jersey City. Enjoy cultural performances and international food right outside City Hall from 6pm to 8pm. The event is free to attend.

What: Nimbus Dance: Anima
When: Friday through Sunday
Where: 329 Warren
Anima includes Nimbus Artistic Director Samuel Pott’s 2-part cycle of dances Patch of Turf and Falling Sky, which explore the changing environment. Also on the bill is the world premiere of Avenoir by Yoso Sakuraba. Avenoir displays Sakuraba’s trademark mix of virtuosic flexibility and gravity-defying lifts. General admission is $30/pp.

What: Smorgasburg Jersey City
When: Saturday, April 30 from 11am to 6pm
Where: Harborside Plaza & Hudson Street (behind Smorgasbar)
Smorgasburg is back at Harborside for another season of eats. The outdoor market will offer food from numerous vendors including Cake Jars, Carlitos Barbecue Taqueria, and more. The market will operate every Saturday. Admission is free and there will be various outdoor dining options throughout Harborside JC.

Where: Margaret Williams Theater at 2039 Kennedy Boulevard
Enjoy a day full of jazz music at the NJCU Jazz Fest. You’ll experience the exotic, the traditional, and the cutting edge. Admission is $25/pp.

What: Snow Ball Gala at Mana Contemporary
When: Saturday, April 30 from 7pm
Where: 10 Senate Place
The Glass Gallery at Mana Contemporary will be transformed into the Midnight Zone on Saturday evening. Underwater explorers will enjoy open bar, hors d’oeuvres, live music, two DJs, and a silent auction. The occasion is creative black-tie; themed attire is encouraged. Admission is $150/pp.

What: New York Road Runners Newport 5K Race 2022
When: Sunday, May 1 from 9am
Where: Newport Town Square
The NYRR Newport 5K is back! After the pandemic put a halt to organized races, the Newport 5K returns to Jersey City this morning for a breezy 3.1-mile run through downtown Jersey City. The course starts and ends in Newport while cutting through the Pedestrian Plaza and parts of the waterfront.

When: Sunday, May 1 from 10am to 2pm
Where: Riverview Park
The Riverview Famers Market is back for its 2022 season. Enjoy a day of live music, kids activities, yoga in the park, and a full line up of vendors.
