From tacos al pastor to sopes de pollo, McGinley Square’s Guerrero Restaurant is debuting a new spring menu with loaded with tasty Mexican eats. The BYOB restaurant also allows for outdoor dining.

Australian-inspired cafe Maggie’s Farm Espresso debuts its new spring menu this weekend. It includes both new and classic dishes like their Fig & Ricotta Toast, Country Egg Brioche, and Roast Portabello Mushroom Wrap.

Line up those margaritas. Mexican restaurant Los Cuernos has reopened for limited indoor and outdoor dining. Located in Newport, Los Cuernos is sister restaurant to downtown’s Taqueria.

What: Battello: Live in the Lounge
When: Friday, April 9 at 8pm
Where:
502 Washington Boulevard
Live in the Lounge is a 90-minute dinner accompanied by an intimate performance by a local musician. The 3-course dinner is limited to 40 people and will take place inside Battello’s spacious lounge. Tonight, Battello will feature music by jazz singer Danielle Illario and the wines of Burgundy. Admission is $122/per person.

What: The Cottage Jazz Brunch
When: Saturdays & Sunday from 10:30am to 2:30pm
Where: 136 Monticello Avenue
The Cottage Jersey City is hosting live musical performances every weekend. Saturday’s performance will be by Diego Campo Jazz. Sunday guests will be treated to gypsy jazz. The socially distanced event is held in The Cottage’s outdoor patio. As a reminder, The Cottage is BYOB (and they offer killer pastries and brunch sandwiches).

What: Jersey City Neighborhood Cleanup (Heights + DTJC)
When: Saturday, April 10 from 10am to 1pm
Where: various locations
Clean Green Jersey City is looking for volunteers to help with neighborhood cleanups throughout Jersey City this weekend. Meet your neighbors, take in some Vitamin D, and help keep your streets clean. This weekend will focus on the Heights, Van Vorst Park, and Hamilton Park. (You can sign up via this Google form).

Rally Against Asian Hate

What: Rally Against Asian Hate
When: Saturday, April 10 at 2pm
Where: City Hall Plaza at 280 Grove Street
Stand in solidarity with the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community at this socially distanced rally to be held at City Hall Plaza. Mask wearing and social distancing will be required. The event is sponsored by Jersey City Council At-Large Rolando Lavarro, the Jersey City Fil-Am Chamber of Commerce, The Philippine Community Center Foundation of New Jersey, and other organizations.

What: Punch Sunday Brunch at Dullboy
When: Sunday, April 11 at 12pm

“Punch, brunch, and sinful fun” is the motto behind Dullboy’s new Punch Sundays. Head over to the bar to enjoy brunch and their latest libations.

Trivia night moves to Sunday afternoon this weekend. The event includes three rounds of trivia with prizes for winning groups. Social distancing will be in effect and groups must adhere to a four person maximum. Admission is $5/pp.
