What: La Festa Italiana 2022
When: August 11 through August 14
Where: Sixth Street between Monmouth & Brunswick
From rosé popsicle sticks to sugar-coated zeppoles, La Festa Italiana is a block party loaded with tons of eats, music, and drinks. The Village street fair runs from 5pm to 11pm on Friday and from 3pm to 11pm on Saturday and Sunday, the latter being it’s last day.

What: Dog Days of Summer at Departed Soles
When: Thursday, August 11 from 6pm to 9pm
Where: 150 Bay Street
Celebrate the Ben & Jerry’s Pup Culture Tour as it comes to Jersey City. The Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream truck will be at the 150 Bay Street Courtyard handing out treats to doggos and humans alike. Departed Soles is also welcoming several animal rescue groups, which will be providing information on volunteer opportunities and selling swag to help their efforts. You might even meet your new feline or canine best friend!

Movies in the Park Jersey City returns tonight with a free screening of Disney’s Tinkerbell. The movie starts at sunset (around 7:30pm).

Where: 594 Palisade Avenue
Riverview Jazz hosts a second Thursday residency bringing in a new guest each month. Admission is $10/pp.

What: Basile’s Pizza Grand Opening
When: Friday, August 11 from 11:30am to 6pm
Where: 116 Newark Avenue
Hoboken-based pizzeria Basile’s Pizza is opening its first Jersey City location today. To celebrate, they’ll be offering free pizzas (one slice) from 11:30am till 6pm. They’re located on the corner of Newark Avenue and Manila.

What: Summer Fridays Backyard Happy Hour at Lil Dove Cafe
When: Friday, August 11 from 8pm to 10pm
Where: 589 Palisade Avenue
Heights coffee shop Lil Dove Cafe is opening its backyard for a Friday happy hour in collaboration with neighboring Fox & Crow. Kick off your weekend with some happy hour drinks from 4pm through 7pm. A $10 RSVP is required. (Your $10 RSVP fee is applied to your first drink).

Port Liberte restaurant Terra e Mare is hosting its first “Groove Dining” event. Book a table to enjoy dinner and cocktails with a live DJ from 8pm til 12am.

What: Mussel Mania at Surf City
When: August 12 through August 28
Where: 1 Marin Boulevard
Art at Night is a show that spotlights the work of local artists. The event can include anything from a live mural painting to a movie screening. Tonight it will include a live mural painting by three local artists. Enjoy five different mussels and fries entrees during Surf City’s Mussel Mania. Each dish includes 2 pounds of mussels along with toast to sop up all the delicious broth.

Join Bike JC for an evening bike ride through Jersey City. The casual bike ride will meet at Grove Plaza (outside the PATH station).

Where: 1 Distillery Drive
JC Music Scene and Dancing Tony present an evening of live bands at Corgi Spirits. The lineup includes Powerlines, Seamstress, Lue Beige, and Rijah. Admission is $10/pp.

The Exchange Place Alliance is hosting another night of Movies on the Pier. This Friday you’ll be able to catch a free screening of The Smurfs. The movie starts at sunset (around 7:30pm). Food and drink will be available for purchase.

What: Smorgasburg Jersey City
When: Saturday, August 13 from 11am to 6pm
Where: Harborside Plaza & Hudson Street (behind Smorgasbar)
Smorgasburg is back at Harborside for another season of eats. The outdoor market will offer food from numerous vendors including Cake Jars, Carlitos Barbecue Taqueria, and more. The market will operate every Saturday. Admission is free and there will be various outdoor dining options throughout Harborside JC.

What: Movie Night at Dullboy

Where: North Cove Field
The Summerfest Concert Series is a free event that takes place every Sunday evening at Liberty State Park through August 14. This Sunday, The Spirit of Life Ensemble will perform live jazz.
