Recently opened restaurants to check out:
Ichiban to Go (365 Palisade Avenue): New sushi spot Ichiban to Go just opened in the Heights this past week. The restaurant offers everything from traditional sushi entrees to sushi lollipops.
Alex Sazon (749 Bergen Avenue): Dominican food is the specialty at recently opened Alex Sazon in McGinley Square. The menu is affordable and packed with classic Latin comfort food like mofongo, mangu, and pernil.
Two Crepes (276 First Street): Stop in for some sweet or savory crepes at Two Crepes in downtown Jersey City. The cozy cafe also offers pastries and a variety of bubble teas. (The taro bubble tea is excellent!)

What: Liberty Science Center Reopening
When: Friday, September 4 from 10am to 4pm
Where: 222 Jersey City Boulevard
The Liberty Science Center is back! The LSC opens to members on Friday from 10am to 4pm. (The general public can return September 5 through September 7 from 10am to 5pm). Face masks are required and the LSC will be performing temperature checks prior to entry. Weekend exhibits include a new planetarium presentation, Angry Birds Universe, and Wild Kratts: Creature Power!

What: Yoga at Canco Park
When: Saturday, September 5 from 9am to 10pm
Where: 70 Dey Street
Kick off your weekend with an hour of outdoor yoga led by Jessica Strickler. The 1-hour class is free and open to all levels. Masks are required and you must bring your own mat.

What: Live Jazz at Corgi Spirits
When: Saturday, September 5 from 3pm to 5pm
Where: 1 Distillery Drive
Enjoy an afternoon of jazz and cocktails during Corgi Spirits’ free Live Jazz concert. The concert will take place at the Corgi Spirits patio and pets are welcome to come along. There will be local food menus for customers to order from as well.

Where: Jordan Avenue (from Montgomery to Orchard)
The McGinley Square Pedestrian Plaza is back. The McGinley Square SID has organized another pop-up along Bergen Avenue (from Duncan to Reed). The pop-up will occur Saturday & Sunday from noon till 10pm and will highlight food from local eateries like Guerrero, Coconut Latin Caribbean Grill, ITA Kitchen, and more.

What: Kentucky Derby Watch Party at Archer Bar
When: Saturday, September 5 from 3pm
Where: 176 Newark Avenue
Enjoy a socially distanced Kentucky Derby Watch Party at the Archer Bar this Saturday. The Archer will launch its private selection Archer barrel and will have a full julep menu. There will be limited seating on a first come, first served basis.

What: Outdoor Fitness Class with Four Fitness

Burn those weekend calories off with a free fitness class hosted by Four Fitness owner Marcisco Morrison. The outdoor class is designed to work your entire body using your own body weight. Masks will be required and you’ll have to bring your own mat.
