What: Man Skirt Brewing Tap Takeover at HomeGrown JC
When: Friday, October 2 from 4pm to 6pm
Where: 150 Bay Street
Hackettstown’s very own Man Skirt Brewing Company is taking over the taps at HomeGrown JC. To get you into the fall mood, the brewery will feature some of its dark, autumnal brews including: You Made Me Ink Black IPA, Czechs and Balances Czech-Style Pilsner, Black is Beautiful Imperial Stout, and The Great Porter.

What: Goatchella 3 at Harsimus Cemetery
When: Friday, October 2 from 5:45pm to 10pm
Where: 435 Newark Avenue
Goatchella is a socially-distanced evening of live music designed to raise money for the Historic Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery. The concert is BYOB and you’re encouraged to bring your own blanket or chair (no pets allowed). Masks will be required for admission. Price is $30/pp.

What: Yoga at Canco Park
When: Saturday, October 3 from 9am to 10pm
Where: 70 Dey Street
Kick off your weekend with an hour of outdoor yoga led by Jessica Strickler. The 1-hour class is free and open to all levels. Masks are required and you must bring your own mat.

What: Jersey City Neighborhood Cleanup (Ward E)
When: Saturday, October 3 from 10am to 2pm
Where: Mary Benson Park + Pedestrian Plaza
Ward E Councilman James Solomon, non-profit Keep Jersey City Beautiful, and non-profit Adopt a Block are teaming up with Clean Green Jersey City for a street clean-up campaign that continues today with two separate clean-ups. There will be one group at Mary Benson Park and another that meets at the Pedestrian Plaza. Meet your neighbors, take in some Vitamin D, and help keep Ward E’s streets clean. (You can sign up via this Google form).

What: The Living Dead Market at Harsimus Cemetery
When: Saturday, October 3 from 12pm to 5pm
Where: 435 Newark Avenue
The Jersey City Alternative Arts Market — formerly the JC Oddities Market — returns to the Harsimus Cemetery this afternoon. The market will feature over a dozen of your favorite vendors of the old and the odd. The yearly fundraiser supports the all-volunteer cemetery crew who work diligently to keep the cemetery grounds clean.

What: Oktoberfest at Astor Bar
When: Saturday, October 3 from 12pm to 10pm
Where: 725 Montgomery
Astor Bar is celebrating Oktoberfest and the start of fall with an Oktoberfest-themed food menu available from 12pm to 5pm. The bar will also have Sam Adams Oktoberfest on tap.

When: Saturday, October 3 from 7pm & 9pm
Where: 1 Distillery Drive
Corgi Spirits is hosting a double-header of comedy shows beginning at 7pm. A second show begins shortly at 9pm. The Corgi Comedy Club takes place at Corgi’s outdoor patio. Admission is $20 per person.

What: Pop-Up Pedestrian Plaza at McGinley Square
When: Saturday + Sunday from 12pm
Where: Jordan Avenue (from Montgomery to Orchard)
The McGinley Square Pedestrian Plaza is back. The McGinley Square SID has organized another pop-up along Bergen Avenue (from Duncan to Reed). The pop-up will occur Saturday & Sunday from noon till 10pm and will highlight food from local eateries like Guerrero, Coconut Latin Caribbean Grill, ITA Kitchen, and more.

What: Monthly Cleanup with Whealth Kitchen
When: Sunday, October 4 from 9am to 11am
Where: 615 Pavonia Avenue
Whealth Kitchen is kicking off a monthly cleanup of the Journal Square neighborhood. Meet at the cafe, grab some cleaning supplies, and help keep JSQ clean. After the cleanup, head back to the Whealth Cafe for a free lunch.

What: Outdoor Fitness Class with Four Fitness
When: Sunday, October 4 at 10am
Where: 686 Bergen Avenue
Burn those weekend calories off with a free fitness class hosted by Four Fitness owner Marcisco Morrison. The outdoor class is designed to work your entire body using your own body weight. Masks will be required and you’ll have to bring your own mat.
