Halloween Family Bash Jersey City

The CDC is discouraging Halloween parties and door-to-door trick-or-treating this year. As a result, city officials have cancelled the city’s annual Halloween Family Bash. The Halloween party, would normally stretch through the length of the Jersey City Pedestrian Plaza.

“We have decided that the best and safest decision for our community is to cancel the Halloween Family Bash this year,” writes the Historic Downtown Special Improvement District (HDSID) on their Instagram.

However, kids will still be able to get their trick-or-treat on. The HDSID says it will hand out Halloween bags (with individually wrapped treats) to all small businesses so that they can give them out to children on Halloween. Given that Halloween falls on a Saturday, it’s likely there will be plenty of trick-or-treaters out and about. Just remember to mask up!
