What: Ghost of Uncle Joe’s Dress Rehearsal at Corgi Spirits
When: Thursday, October 20 from 3pm to 6pm
Where: 1 Distillery Drive
Get a sneak peek at this weekend’s Ghost of Uncle Joe’s rock show with tribute band performing songs by Modest Mouse, Native Tongues, Hole, and Alanis Morissette. $10 donations are appreciated.

Friday Events

What: The Ghost of Uncle Joe’s Halloween Ball
When: Friday, October 21 from 5pm + Saturday all day
Where: Harsimus Cemetery at 435 Newark Avenue
The Ghost of Uncle Joe’s is an annual rock show/costume party held at the Harsimus Cemetery. Local musicians will perform covers from Hole, Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, and more. There will also be food and beer sold by local food trucks. After parties (with more cover bands) are slated for Lo-Fi, JSQ Lounge, Corgi Spirits, Porta, and Pet Shop. Tickets start at $25/pp.

What: Midnight Market + 902 Brewing Halloween Foodie Fest
When: Friday, October 21 from 6pm to 12am
Where: 101 Pacific Avenue
Get ready for a night of eats, dance, and drinks. Midnight Market returns to 902 Brewing tonight offering two sessions. Session one ($10/pp) runs from 6pm till 8:30pm and includes access to the brewery, food for sale, live DJ, outdoor games, and more. Session two ($35/pp) run from 9:15pm till midnight and it includes the same, but throws in access to a silent disco (headphone rental included in price).

What: Pitness in the Park
When: Saturday, October 22 from 11am to 2pm
Where: Hamilton Park
Pitness in the Park is a fundraiser and all-out celebration of all things pitbull. Checkout local vendors, donate to help the doggos of Jersey Pits Rescue, and meet adoptable pups in search of their forever home. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. There will also be leash clinics for $15/pp.

When: Saturday, October 22 from 11am to 6pm
Where: Harborside Plaza & Hudson Street (behind Smorgasbar)
The Smorgasburg season is rapidly coming to a close. Enjoy a scaled back version of the outdoor market this weekend. Admission is free and there will be various outdoor dining options throughout Harborside JC.

Where: City Hall Annex Lot (Montgomery Street at Marin Blvd)
The Jersey City Night Market is back for a night of local eats and live music. The event is free to attend at the City Hall Annex Lot. Featured vendors include Jersey & Co. Gelato, MozzArepas, Oh-K Dog & Egg Toast, Oxtail Gravy Truck, Rudo Plants & Home, and more.

What: Women Owned Weekends at PLNTD
When: Sunday, October 23 from 1pm to 7pm
Where: 16 Erie
Women Owned Weekend is a pop-up at PLNTD Jersey City that showcases the work of a local, woman-owned business. Today, PLNTD will feature writer, professor, and tarot card reader — Shelby Wardlaw. $35 gets you a personal 30-minute reading.
