Start your weekend with a power workout courtesy of Vita Athletics. The boutique gym is offering free classes this Saturday to break in their brand new studio, which officially opens for its first full week of service on Monday.

What: Pitness in the Park
When: Saturday, November 3 from 11am to 3pm
Where: Riverview Park
Pitness in the Park is a fundraiser and all-out celebration of all things pitbull. Win prizes, donate to help the doggos of New York Bully Crew, and meet adoptable pups in search of their forever home. Plus, enter to win a 1-hour massage for you and your pupper courtesy of Loosen Up Jersey City.

What: First Annual Bergen Apple Festival
When: Saturday, November 3 from 11:30am to 3pm
Where: Apple Tree House at 298 Academy Street
The first Annual Bergen Apple Fest kicks off this Saturday with a walking tour of the Apple Tree House. That’s followed by a taste test of New Jersey’s top 10 apples, an apple pie/dessert contest (you’ll get to sample pies, cobblers, tarts, and more), and live music. The event is free to the public.

Where: 136 Magnolia Avenue
Marketplace JC is back at Magnolia Landing celebrating everything that’s local. Shop pottery/paintings, gourmet food, and enjoy live music courtesy of Riverview Jazz.

What: Frankie 1-Year Anniversary
When: Saturday, November 3 from 3pm to close
Where: 264 Grove Street
Celebrate Frankie’s 1-year anniversary with complimentary wine, movie screenings, and of course, plenty of delicious eats. The party starts at 3pm and will go on through closing. Plus, Delinquente Wine will be on-hand from 8pm for an exclusive wine tasting.

What: Fall Soiree at Lakoet Salon
When: Saturday, November 3 from 7pm to 8:30pm
Where: 301 First Street
Lakoet Salon is celebrating its 3-year anniversary and the opening of sister salon — Gaia’s Cavern — with a Masquerade Party complete with cocktails, appetizers, and a raffle. The after-party will be held at Gaia’s Tavern with a DJ spinning till midnight.

Outside of Jersey City

What: Port Imperial Food Truck Fest
When: Saturday, November 3 from 12pm to 6pm
Where: 4800 Avenue at Port Imperial Blvd (Weehawken)
The final food truck festival of 2018 has arrived and it’s shaping up to be the biggest one of the season with over 20 food trucks dishing out everything from lobster rolls to brick-oven pizza. The event takes place Saturday afternoon at Port Imperial in Weehawken. Admission is $5/pp (kids enter free) and pets are welcome.

What: LHS Craft Beer & Whiskey Festival at Elks Lodge
When: Saturday, November 3 from 1pm to 5pm
Where: 1005 Washington Street (Hoboken)
Forget brunch. Kick off your weekend at the Liberty Humane Society’s Craft Beer & Whiskey Festival where you’ll be able to sample 20+ brews and whiskeys. Plus, participate in a cornhole tournament, basketball tournament, and raffles. Admission is $40/pp ($50 at the door) and proceeds will benefit the LHS.
