Cool autumn weather calls for delicious fall cocktails and that’s exactly what you’ll find at Corgi Spirits tonight, which is celebrating its 1-year anniversary with the launch of a new fall cocktail menu. Corgi’s new libations will use the distillery’s just-launched Smoking Lounge Gin and Cardigan Whiskey. Plus, the tasting room will expand its hours till 1am tonight only.

What: 3rd Annual City Nights Block Party
When: Friday, October 5 from 7pm to 10pm
Where: First Street (between Marin and Provost)
Start your weekend with some outdoor eats and drinks at the 3rd Annual City Nights Block Party. The block party will include live music, local food vendors/trucks, games, and a painting exhibit. Food vendors confirmed for tobight include Hudson Hall, Hamilton Pork, Hidden Grounds Coffee, and Bucket & Bay Craft Gelato.

Where: Throughout Jersey City
Jersey City is about to get blanketed in art (more so than it already is). The Jersey City Art & Studio Tour weekend kicks off tonight with art tours, live performances, bike tours, and more. What: Famous Food Market Oktoberfest Edition

Where: 200 Greene Street (Urby Parking Lot)
It’s the last Famous Food Market of the season and today’s market is dedicated to women-owned businesses. The market will also double as a fundraiser for Women’s Rising, a Jersey City-based organization that helps women achieve self-sufficiency and live safe, productive lives.

What: Black Hole Opening Weekend at LSC
When: Saturday, October 6 from 12:30pm
Where: Liberty Science Center
Geek out at the Liberty Science Center’s new show — Black Holes — which will be shown at the Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium. Narrated by Liam Neeson, the show will teach you all about black holes and the mind-boggling supermassive black holes. A Combination Pass ($28.75) or Premium Pass ($32.75) is required for admission.

What: Water Lantern Festival
When: Saturday, October 6 from 3pm to 8:30pm
Where: 1 Audrey Zapp Drive (Liberty State Park)
If you missed it this past summer, the New York Water Lantern Festival is back for a day full of food and festivities. Tickets — which are priced at $50/pp — include admission to the festival, a floating water lantern, wristband, and keychain LED flashlight. It also covers the cost of cleanup after the event.

What: Thai American Pop-Up Brunch & Dinner at LITM
When: Sunday, August 26 from 12pm to 4pm, 5pm to 10pm
Where: 140 Newark Avenue
Jersey City-based Suwanna Food is back at LITM this Sunday serving up their new menu of delicious Thai-American eats. On the menu is Suwanna’s Tom Kah (coconut soup) along with other vegetarian-friendly dishes. If you opt for dinner, you can take advantage of their special Artists’ Happy Hour (hello, $5 drinks!), which is part of JCast weekend.
