A new Sushi by Bou outpost is coming to New Jersey. The speakeasy-inspired omakase concept will open its second Garden State location inside the W Hotel Hoboken at 225 River Street. The new outpost opens its doors for dinner this Saturday, January 14.

Initially launched in Florida in 2017, there are now 15 Sushi by Bou micro restaurants located across New York, New Jersey, Chicago, and South Florida. (A Sushi by Bou Puerto Rico is also in the works). The modern speakeasy offers a fast and affordable way to enjoy omakase, a form of Japanese dining wherein guests allow the chef to choose their meal.

Each location has its own theme and the new Hoboken location draws its inspiration
from New Jersey hip-hop artists of the 90s. Up to 12 guests can be accommodated at the sushi counter to enjoy a selection of cocktails, imported sake, and Japanese spirits as sushi chefs guide you through a timed omakase experience. Diners can choose from a 30minute, 12course omakase ($60/pp) or a 60minute, 17course omakase ($100/pp).

Sushi by Bou opened its first New Jersey location back in 2019 inside Ani Ramen Jersey City. The Hoboken location will be open for dinner seven days a week from 5pm to 11pm. (The last seating is at 10pm). Reservations can be made at sushibybou.com.
