It’s the first full week of summer and what better way to kick things off than with Negroni Week. The 7-day event is an international effort to raise money for charities by drinking one of the world’s most famous cocktails — the Negroni.

Made with gin, vermouth, and Campari, the classic Italian libation is equal parts bitter and sweet. Throughout the week you’ll be able to order different takes on the Negroni — all for a good cause.

Every participating bar will make an initial contribution to a non-profit from the list of charity partners. At the end of the week, each bar will also donate a portion of their Negroni sales to the charity of their choice.

Here in Jersey City, participating bars and restaurants include:

Meanwhile, in Hoboken, the following spots will offer special Negronis:

To get things started, The Archer is hosting a Kick Off Party on Monday. Fifteen bartenders from Macao Trading, Dear Irving, Dullboy, Lo-Fi, Montclair Social, and more will rotate throughout the night as they mix up their own Campari-inspired creations.

So drink up, Jersey City. Negroni Week ends Sunday, June 30.
