A new boba tea and donut shop is coming to Bergen-Lafayette. Mochi Dough and Bober Tea have announced they’ll be opening a shared location inside the Starling at 66 Monitor Street.

The news has been confirmed on Mochi Dough’s website and Bober Tea’s website. Unlike traditional donuts made of yeast, Mochi Dough’s Japanese-inspired donuts use rice flour to create an airy and chewy inside with a perfectly crisp outside. Flavors run the gamut from black sesame to taro.

Meanwhile, Bober Tea will offer a wide range of boba tea, along with a selection of high grade loose leaf teas. Flavors include chizu strawberry with stir fried boba, chizu mango with popping boba, and classic milk tea with stir fried boba.

The Starling is a new luxury rental by developers Alpine Residential and Fields Grade. The six-story building features 39 studio to three-bedroom residences. Monthly rents for the homes begin from $2,690 with initial occupancy slated for this month. In addition  to Mochi Dough and BoberTea, the building will also house The Roxy, a new venture from the team behind Corto in Jersey City Heights.

There’s no official opening date, but you can follow @mochidoughusa and @boberteausa for updates on their opening.
