Need something to lift your spirits? While many museums and cultural centers are shuttering their doors in an effort to halt the spread of COVID-19, the New York Metropolitan Opera is opening its doors. Its virtual doors, that is.
The Met Opera will stream encore presentations from its award-winning “Live in HD” series on its website to audiences worldwide, reports Time Out New York. The streams will begin at 7:30pm each night on the company’s website and will be available for an additional 20 hours thereafter.
This week’s lineup includes:
- Tuesday, March 17: Puccini’s La Boheme
- Wednesday, March 18: Verdi’s Il Trovatore
- Thursday, March 19: Verdi’s La Traviata
- Friday, March 20: Donizetti’s La Fille du Régiment
- Saturday, March 21: Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor
- Sunday, March 22: Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin
