Helen’s Pizza offering 25-cent slices next Monday
When it comes to old-school Jersey City, few places can compete with Helen’s Pizza. To celebrate their upcoming 50-year anniversary, the family-owned pizzeria will rollback prices next Monday, April 9 to just 25 cents per slice. Fountain soda will also be available for 25 cents. The special prices will be available from 12pm to 4pm only. As a kid living in downtown in the 80s — I grew up with two pizzerias: Helen’s and Three Boys from Italy. It’s nice to see Helen’s is still here and going strong. —Helen’s Pizza

Prime Members may get 10 percent discount at Whole Foods
Times are a-changin’ at Whole Foods. A Whole Foods in Austin, TX, was recently caught displaying banners that announced 10 percent discounts on select items for Amazon Prime members. Amazon has been testing out ways to lower prices at the organic supermarket, so a special Prime member discount doesn’t sound too far fetched, even though Whole Foods and Amazon deny the idea of such a discount. —CNBC
