Gloveworx — a state of the art boxing studio — will soon open above the WTC PATH station.

This is the California-based studio’s first location on the East Coast. Founder and U.S. Nationals Heavyweight competitor, Leyon Azubuike, launched Gloveworx in 2015 as a way to combine boxing with hard-hitting strength and conditioning.

The studio offers a variety of group and one-on-one sessions based on your skill level (or lack thereof). Classes are taught by boxing champs and former Olympians, so this isn’t the type of gym you come to watch TV or catch up on your Insta.

Everything works on a drop-in basis although memberships are also available. The website doesn’t list pricing, but Time Out Los Angeles lists prices at $30/session or $169 for 8 sessions.

Gloveworx’s official address is 185 Greenwich Street. The studio will open Tuesday, January 22. They’re currently offering friends and family sessions before their official opening.
