Roll up your sleeves: A new Cajun-inspired seafood restaurant is coming to Newport. Crab Du Jour is opening an outpost at 128 18th Street. The restaurant will be located just a stone’s throw away from the forthcoming Five Below, reports Jersey Digs.

Virginia-based Crab Du Jour has over 40 locations nationwide including here in Hudson County (North Bergen). The restaurant specializes in made-to-order seafood boils claiming to offer “generous portions” with every meal. The menu includes a variety of shellfish such as crab, crawfish, and lobster.

Customers pick the seafood they’d like to eat, choose their sauce preference (Cajun, Old Bay, etc.), and pick their spice level. Side items like corn, potatoes, and sausage can be added at an additional cost.

Crab Du Jour also has a variety of non-seafood dishes including po’ boys, Cajun wings, fries, onion rings, and hush puppies.

We’ve reached out to the restaurant for an estimated opening date and will update our story with any new info. In the meantime, you can follow them on Instagram for further news.
