1: Jersey City now has 1,411 confirmed COVID-19 cases (up from 1,291) and 38 deaths (up from 36). On the positive side, the city has reported a small decline in new cases over the past two days. —COVID-19 JC Stats

2: City officials have released statistics for Christ Hospital, including the number of patients in the hospital, the number of ventilators in use, and more. 5: A tiger at the Bronx Zoo has tested positive for COVID-19 after being infected by an asymptomatic worker caring for him. In total, 7 tigers and lions at the zoo are showing symptoms. All are expected to recover. It is now believed that cats can carry the disease, although there’s no evidence to support that dogs are affected (since dogs lack the virus receptors that humans and cats have). —ABC7

  • Jersey City has two coronavirus testing facilities open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm.
  • You must call (201) 547-5535 to make an appointment.
  • A walk-up center is located at the JC Fire Headquarters at 465 Marin Boulevard.
  • A drive-thru testing facility is located at 575 Route 440.
  • Grocery store workers and health care workers will be tested first.
