Midnight Market Jersey City

Midnight Market returns to Harborside for its 2019 fall/winter season. Plus, Asana Soul Practice celebrates its 1-year anniversary and PierFest returns to Exchange Place.

Tree House Coffee Shop opens on West Side

A new coffee shop has soft opened at 434A West Side Avenue (just off Edge Avenue). Tree House Coffee Shop offers a variety of coffee, tea, and pastries from Choc-o-Pan.

The Franklin’s Prix Fixe Menu (Monday – Tuesday)

The Franklin has posted their $28/pp prix fixe menu for this week. (Available Monday and Tuesday only). It includes an appetizer, your choice of eggplant risotto or calamari pasta, and dessert.

Ruth’s Chris debuts “Fall Crush” special 

Ruth’s Chris Jersey City just debuted a “Fall Crush” special. For $30, you get a Filet Oscar (Filet Mignon topped with lump crab meat) and asparagus with béarnaise sauce. The restaurant is also offering a Coppola wine flight for $24 that includes three, 4-ounce pours of Coppola wine.

Asana Soul Practice 1-Year Anniversary (Tuesday – Sunday)

Yoga studio Asana Soul Practice is celebrating its 1-year anniversary with five days of special events, classes, and complimentary local treats. The studio is also offering sales on memberships and class packs all week long.

Beauty-Boosting Food and Tips at Bambino Chef (Thursday)

Bambino Chef and Moms Come Clean are teaming up for a free class on beauty-boosting foods and eating healthy. The event runs from 6pm to 8pm at Bambino Chef (213 Newark Avenue).

Tribos Peri Peri Grand Opening (Friday)

Tribos Peri Peri — a restaurant specializing in grilled chicken made with African bird’s eye chili — is expected to open today. They were supposed to open in August, but that event got moved to Friday the 13. They’re located at 109 Columbus Drive, just off Grove Street (in the former Me Casa space).

Midnight Market Season Opener (Friday)

Midnight Market is back for another season of eats, drinks, and dance. The season opener takes place this Friday at the Harborside Atrium. Admission is $5 if you arrive between 6:30pm to 7:30pm or $10 thereafter. Or buy your tix online for $13 (VIP/preferred entry) or $7 general admission.

PierFest at Exchange Place (Friday)

PierFest is a series of four Latin jazz concerts held at the J. Owen Grundy Pier at Exchange Place. The concerts are all free and take place Fridays at 6pm. The series kicks off tonight with Telavana, a hybrid group that combines the sounds of salsa, the Middle East, and the Carribean.

Jersey City Brew Fest Returns to Harborside (Saturday)

Get ready for a night of unlimited beer pours. This weekend Harborside is bringing some of the area’s best brewers under one roof for the Annual Jersey City Craft Brew Fest. The festival is a celebration of all things beer related and will include over 50 breweries, many of which hail locally from New Jersey.

Liberty Harbor 4th Annual Block Party (Saturday)

From food trucks and beer to a mechanical bull — the Liberty Harbor Block Party is back for its 4th year. Head to 50 Regent street for a family (and doggo) friendly day of games, music, and food. Food vendors include Venti Food Truck, No Forks Given, O’LaLa Empanadas, The Bearded One BBQ, and more.

NYCRUNS Newport Half (Sunday)

The NYCRUNS Newport Liberty Half Marathon is Sunday morning. If you haven’t signed up yet but feel like racing, you can sign up the day of or during packet pickup in New York or in Newport. You’ll pay for it though. The cost of admission is now $110/pp.
