From a Venetian-themed Dinner at Third & Vine to a screening of Jurassic Park at the Loew’s Theater — here’s our list of the best things to do on this final week of September in Jersey City.
Full Moon party at Luna JC (Monday)
It’s that time of the month. Monday night is Luna’s Full Moon Party, which includes an all-night happy hour with $5 drinks and select dinner items at $7. (Pictured above is their Cafe Racer).
Beer takeover at Barcade (Monday)
Barcade is ushering in the new Brooklyn Defender IPA with a Brooklyn Brewery pint night, which starts at 6pm tonight. Also on tap will be Brooklyn Sorachi Ace and Bel Air Sour. Barcade will also give away special Defender pint glasses with the purchase of a Brooklyn Defender IPA beer and they’ll be raffling two tickets to New York Comic Con (October 4 – October 7).
Taste Brazilian spirits at the Archer (Tuesday)
The weather may not be tropical, but the drinks at The Archer will be. Tonight the cocktail bar will be pouring drinks and flights made with Avua Cachaça.
Beer release at Departed Soles (Wednesday)
We know: Halloween is still a full month away, but tonight Departed Soles is getting into the Halloween spirit with the release of its pumpkin ale — the Ghosts of Pumpkins Passed.
Sangria Social at Pizza Vita (Wednesday)
Local bloggers Have A Night are hosting their first Sangria Social at Pizza Vita in the Heights. Admission is $35/pp and it includes a 3-course meal (appetizer, salad, pizza) and 3 glasses of Nacho Mama’s Sangria.
Taste the food and wine of Venice (Thursday)
Take a culinary trip to Venice during Third & Vine’s Venetian Evening. The 5-course dinner will be paired with 5 wines — all of them originating from the region of Venice. Admission is $80/pp.
Watch Jurassic Park on a 50-foot screen (Friday)
Yup, it’s been 25 years since the original (1993) Jurassic Park first hit theaters. Relive all that dinosaur glory on a giant 50-foot widescreen display at the Loew’s Theater. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for kids/seniors.
Free concert at the Pier (Friday)
The Exchange Place Alliance and Riverview Jazz are teaming up for a series of free Friday night concerts at the J. Owen Grundy Pier at Exchange Place. There will be food trucks, beer, and plenty of music to kick off the weekend.
