Crepe Guru debuts new Jersey City location (Wednesday)
There’s a new crepe boss in town. Today marks the official opening of Crepe Guru’s new Jersey City location at 110 Bright Street. (Crepe Guru has technically been serving food during remodeling, but today marks the official opening of the new space).

Mojito Cocktail Class at Liberty House (Wednesday)
Learn to make Cuba’s national drink at Liberty House’s Mojito Cocktail Class. The class includes drinks and light bites for $45/pp.

Black Panther screening at Van Vorst Park (Wednesday)
Take a trip to Wakanda as the Van Vorst Park Association holds a free screening of Black Panther. The movie starts after sunset and free popcorn is provided. (Just BYO chair).

Music at the Fountain at Lincoln Park (Wednesday)
Music at the Fountain returns with a free performance by The Original Famous Rays — a band of veteran blues and jazz musicians from New York and New Jersey. The family-friendly event runs from 7pm to 9pm.

Departed Soles debuts Imperial Porter (Wednesday)
Porter fans, listen up. Departed Soles is debuting a new collaboration today called Pepper’s Peppers, which is brewed with smoked malt, organic cocoa, and Chipotle Meco peppers.

CycleBar /Kiehl’s fundraiser for amfAR (Thursday)
CycleBar has partnered with Kiehl’s in support of amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research. For every bike that’s booked at today’s 8pm Jersey City class, $30 will be donated by Kiehl’s to the amfAR charity.

David Bowie Laser Show at LSC (Friday)
Ground Control to Major Tom. LSC is turning its Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium — the largest planetarium in the Western Hemisphere — into a giant rave session with its new musical laser shows. The first show takes place this Friday to the music of David Bowie. Laser shows will run every Friday and Saturday night from August 10 through September 1. Tickets are $12 for adults.

    In its historic downtown area, three blocks to the Grove Street Path station and just two stops from Manhattan, Jersey City again hosts the Hudson West Folk Festival on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Grace church.

    This all day festival will include performances from both nationally-known artists and highly regarded regional acts. In addition to live music, the festival will include free music workshops, vendors and food booths. The lineup includes Harpeth Rising, Sunny War, Blue Yonder, Blackie Farrell, Stephane Wrembel, Evie Ladin & Keith Terry, Kirsten Maxwell, Vicki Kristina Maxwell, Scott Wolfson and Freedy Johnston.
