The countdown to Pride weekend is here and it all begins with Roman Nose’s annual Pride Cocktail Social. Plus, enjoy a Veuve Clicquot dinner pairing at Ruth’s Chris and Balvenie Tiki Night at Cellar 335.

Busy Bee Organics Now Open in the Heights

A new health food spot opened in the Heights this past Sunday. Busy Bee Organics is now open at 451 Palisade Avenue (between Griffith and Bowers). Given that they just opened, the shop’s hours aren’t set yet, so you’ll want to follow them on Instagram for updates. The shop offers healthy treats, breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.

4th Annual Roman Nose Pride Party (Monday)

Pride Week kicks off today with the 4th Annual Pride Aperitivo Cocktail Social at Roma Nose. Although the restaurant is normally closed on Mondays, they’ll be open today with complimentary bites (7pm to 9pm) and happy hour specials all night long.

Tiki drinks with The Balvenie at Cellar 335 (Tuesday)

There tiki drinks and then there are Cellar 335 tiki drinks. Tonight, our favorite tiki spot will be mixing tiki cocktails featuring The Balvenie Single Malt Scotch Whisky. You can get your whisky on starting at 8pm.

Sake and Whisky Night at Ani Ramen (Tuesday)

Soul of Sake is Ani Ramen’s monthly event dedicated to pairing sake and whisky. (Two of our favorite drinks!) Admission is $38/pp (online) or $42/pp (at the door). It includes two featured sakes, one featured Suntory whisky, an appetizer, and your choice of a bowl of ramen.

SummerFest at Liberty State Park (Tuesday)

SummerFest takes place every Sunday and Tuesday evening at LSP during the month of August. Tonight’s free show will be headlined by salsa singer, David Cedeño.

Music at the Fountain at Lincoln Park (Wednesday)

Music at the Fountain returns this week with a free performance by Walter Parks, Bryan Beninghove, and friends. They’ll be playing a mix of New Orleans grooves and 70s funk. The family-friendly event runs from 7pm to 9pm.

Ruth’s Chris Veuve Clicquot Dinner Pairing (Thursday)

Ruth’s Chris TasteMaker Dinner series continues this week with a Veuve Clicquot 5-course dinner. The menu will pair various Veuve Clicquot champagnes with dishes like Lobster Agnolotti, Filet Mignon with Buttered Crab Cake, and more. Tickets to the dinner are $120/pp.

Goonies movie screening on the waterfront (Thursday)

Enjoy a free outdoor screening of 80s classic film, The Goonies, at J. Owen Grundy Park. The movie will begin at 8pm.

Gay Anthems Dance Party at LITM (Friday)

Kick off Pride weekend at LITM’s Gay Anthems Dance Party. The kitchen will be open till midnight and long-time LITM DJ, Paul Mendoza, will keep the music spinning.

Tribos Peri Peri Grand Opening (Friday)

Tribos Peri Peri — a restaurant specializing in grilled chicken made with African bird’s eye chili — is expected to open today. They’re located at 109 Columbus Drive, just off Grove Street (in the former Me Casa space).
