From French wine to Parisian pastries — celebrate all things France during French Week. Plus, enjoy sangria night at Pastis or a cocktail class at Liberty House.

French Week kicks off in Jersey City (Monday)
Vive Les Bleus! Today is the start of French Week — a 6-day celebration that includes tastings of French food, wine, and pastries at participating restaurants like La Côte, Madame Claude Bis, Choc-O-Pain, Vogue Cafe, and more. (Choc-o-Pain, for example, is having tastings at all of its cafes). It all culminates on Saturday with a Bastille Day block party outside the French American Academy of Jersey City, located on 3rd street between Erie and Grove.

Wine dinner at VB3 (Tuesday)
Villa Borghese III (VB3) and California’s Terlato Wines are teaming up for a 4-course dinner and wine tasting. Admission is $50/pp and you can take a peek at the menu here.

SummerFest at Liberty State Park (Tuesday)
LSP’s Tuesday night concert series kicks off today as SummerFest presents the Moonlighters Orchestra — a swinging, big band group of musicians. The concerts starts at 6:30pm on the South Lawn (by the flags). A full schedule of concerts can be found here (PDF).

Music at the Fountain returns to Lincoln Park (Wednesday)
Lincoln Park Live returns for the month of July with a special concert by Spirit of Life Ensemble, the band that originally inspired the Music at the Fountain series. The family-friendly event runs from 7pm to 9pm.

Classic American cocktail class at Liberty House (Wednesday)
From the Mint Julep to the Sazerac, learn how to make the perfect American cocktail at Liberty House’s All-American Cocktail Class.  Lite bites will be provided and admission is $45 pp.

Summer Dance Series at Exchange Place (Thursday)
The 2018 Summer Dance Series kicks off today with a free performance at the J. Owen Grundy Pier by Heather Warfel Sandler & Guests. The free series will feature a new performer every Thursday at 6:30pm

Tapas and sangria night at Satis Bistro (Thursday)
Satis is celebrating Pamplona’s Festival of San Fermín with a 4-course tapas and sangria dinner where you’ll get to taste everything from rosé sangria to traditional red sangria. Admission is $65/pp.
