Riverview Jazz Fest kicks off throughout Jersey City (Monday)
The sprawling Riverview Jazz Festival is back for another banner week of free music. Performances will be held throughout Jersey City including Fox & Crow, Madame Claude Bis, The Archer, The Oak on Pine, GP’s Restaurant, and many more. You can check out the festival’s full schedule of events here.

ME Casa soft opens at 109 Columbus (Monday)
Ready for Mofongo Mondays? Today is ME Casa’s soft opening at its new home at 109 Columbus Avenue. Head to the BYOB restaurant for tasty Puerto Rican eats (such as the pollo a la brasa pictured above).

Networking night at LITM (Monday)
Lifestyle blog Growing in Jersey City is throwing its first monthly networking event at LITM tonight. The event is an opportunity to mix, mingle, and meet other small biz owners in the area.  Admission is $10 at the door.

Italian wine dinner at Pasta dal Cuore (Tuesday)
Let CoolVines and Pasta dal Cuore take you on a gastronomic tour of the tastiest corners of northern Italy during tonight’s wine dinner, which will be held at Pasta dal Cuore. Admission is $75/pp (tax and tip included).

Euro Dance night at PS Wine Bar (Thursday)
Really bad European dance music or the best of 90s dance? Listen to both as you sip on some European wines at PS Wine Bar’s Eurotrash Night — a night “where PS really allows itself to be full on PS.”

‘Yarns’ premiers at JC Theater Center (Thursday)
Local theater company No Dominion Theatre and the Jersey City Theater Center are teaming up to present “Yarns,” a story that “explores the parallels between sex work and fiber arts, as a group of five women seek change and empowerment despite the hostile world that surrounds them.” The performance will run Thursday through Saturday at 8pm each night. (You may have to purchase tix at the box office as Ticketfly’s website is down).

Sweetberry Bowls grand opening (Thursday)
Healthy eats have arrived at Newark Avenue. Sweetberry Bowls will celebrate its ribbon cutting ceremony today at noon. The shop offers açaí, pitaya, coconut, and green bowls in addition to coffee and salads.

Latte-decorating class at Hidden Grounds (Friday)
Learn how to give your homemade lattes a professional look at Hidden Grounds Coffee’s Latte Art Class. The hands-on class will end with a mini latte throwdown and the winner will take home two cold brew bottles and a bag of freshly roasted coffee. Tickets are $49.99/pp or $75 for 2 people.
