We hope you’re hungry. There are lots of dinners, tastings, and specials happening in Jersey City this week. From a Mediterranean-inspired wine dinner at Madame Claude to the last Midnight Market of the season — here’s the best of what’s happening in Jersey City this week.

Riverview Wine Beer & Spirits Soft Opening (Wednesday)

Riverview Wine Beer & Spirits is a new wine shop specializing in small-batch, natural wines made by farmers. The shop isn’t finished yet, but they’re stocked and ready to be part of the neighborhood. They’re soft opening tonight from 5pm to 8pm at 43 Bowers.

2nd Annual Sixth Borough Comedy Fest at Harborside  (Wednesday – Saturday)

The 2nd annual 6th Borough Comedy Fest is a 4-day comedy show featuring stand up, improv, sketch, comedy podcasts, and a roast of Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop. The show begins tonight at the Harborside Atrium. You can check out a schedule of the fest here.

Coastal Wines and Mediterranean Dinner (Wednesday)

Wine expert Lourdes of the Vine is hosting a Coastal Wine & Mediterranean-Inspired Dinner at Madame Claude Bis. The 3-course dinner includes 3 wine pairings and a bonus cocktail. Tickets are priced at $60/pp.

Summer Cocktail Class at Liberty House (Wednesday)

Get a jump start on your summer drinking with Liberty House’s Summer Cocktail Class, where you’ll learn to make warm weather classics while enjoying light appetizers. Admission is $45/pp.

Oysters, Beer, & Burgers at Maritime Parc (Thursday)

Oyster, Beer & Burger Night returns to Maritime Parc Jersey City. Every Thursday night diners can get 6 oysters, a burger (chicken, beef, or lamb), and beer or wine for $25.

Wine & Food of the Pacific West Rim (Thursday)

Third & Vine is taking you on a culinary tour of the Pacific with food from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. It’ll all be accompanied by wines from Australia and New Zealand. Admission to the dinner is $79/pp.

Bridal Show at the Atelier Ballroom (Thursday)

The Atelier Ballroom is a new events space located on the waterfront (next to the Lutze). Elegant Bridal is hosting a Bridal Show at the Atelier from 7pm to 9:30pm.

Midnight Market Season Closer (Friday)

Head to the Harborside Atrium for the final Midnight Market of the season. Vendors will include Italian pastries from Queens’ Vaccaro’s Bakery, Hawaiian-inspired eats from Jersey City’s Eemas Cuisine, fried ice cream from Philly’s Moon Dawg Sundaes, and more. Tickets are $5/pp at the door if you get there from 6:30pm to 7:30pm or $10/pp general admission.

Departed Soles 4th Distribution Anniversary (Friday)

Jersey City brewery Departed Soles is celebrating its 4-year anniversary of distributing beer in New Jersey. The brewery will have multiple new barrel aged and barrel fermented beers as well as a new gluten free beer.
