From Halloween parties to the start of lunch at Ruth’s Chris and Hudson & Co., — here’s the best of what’s happening in Jersey City this last week of October.

Lunch Now Offered at Ruth’s Chris (Monday)
Ruth’s Chris Jersey City will begin lunch service today from 12pm till 3pm. Although there’s no menu online yet, you can take a peek at what other RC restaurants offer for lunch here. (Chop Salad pictured above).

Hudson & Co. Now Serving Lunch (Monday)
The waterfront’s newest restaurant will begin offering lunch this week. There’s no confirmed lunch menu yet, but service will begin this week.

War of the Worlds at LSC (Tuesday)
Believe it or not, but on October 30, 1938 the country thought Martians were invading New Jersey. To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Orson Welles’ radio broadcast, the LSC is recreating War of the Worlds. Tickets are $20/pp.

Dullboy Costume Party (Wednesday)
Don your best Overlook Hotel-inspired costume and head to Dullboy, which is hosting a Halloween Costume Party starting at 5pm. The cocktail bar will also offer special cocktails for the night.

The Ghost of Uncle Joe’s at FM (Wednesday)
If you missed the original show earlier this month, the Ghost of Uncle Joe’s is back at at FM with cover bands of The White Stripes, The Who, The Velvet Underground, and more.

LITM Halloween Parties (Monday – Wednesday)
LITM is going all out on Halloween this year. The parties start on Monday with Halloween karaoke, which is followed by a goth prom on Tuesday, and LITM’s annual Halloween Bash & Costume Contest on Wednesday.

Cellar 335 Halloween Party (Wednesday)
Cellar 335’s Halloween Party will have Halloween-themed tiki drinks all night long. Plus, dress up for a chance to win one of three top prizes during their costume contest.

Departed Soles Tarot Card Reading (Wednesday)
Experienced tarot card reader and Departed Soles’ tasting room co-manager will be reading your tarot cards on Halloween night. Come in costume and you’ll get 10 percent off to-go merchandise.

Hard Grove Halloween Party (Wednesday)
From a Bloody Mojito to Vampire Tapas — Hard Grove is revamping its menu for its Haunted Havana Nights party, which includes drink specials, live DJ, and a costume contest with a $100 prize.

Ed & Mary’s Karaoke Party (Wednesday)
Get ready to sing like you’re possessed at Ed & Mary’s Halloween Party, which will include karaoke all night long. Plus, there will be a costume contest with a $100 cash prize.

Pedestrian Plaza Halloween Party (Wednesday)
The Pedestrian Plaza’s Halloween Family Bash is back for another Halloween party along Newark Avenue. Expect plenty of activities for kids, candy, and face painting.

Van Vorst Park Haunted Gazebo (Wednesday)
The gazebo at Van Vorst Park is getting a Halloween makeover. From 4pm to 8pm you can head over to the gazebo for some Halloween candy, cider, cookies, and more.

White Star Bar Halloween After-Hours Party (Wednesday)
The White Star at Warren Street will celebrate Halloween with an after-hours party that starts at 10pm. Only those that come in costume will get drink specials, so dress up.

Modern Dance Festival at Loew’s (Friday)
For dance lovers, the Loew’s Theatre is hosting Your Move 2018 — Jersey City’s annual Modern Dance Festival. Admission is $18/pp.
