Drink & Draw at Frankie (Tuesday)

Time to work on your sketching skills. Frankie is hosting its October Drink & Draw class at its upstairs private room. You’ll have to bring your own art supplies, but your $10 ticket includes a live model.

Whisky Pairing Dinner at Komegashi (Tuesday)

Enjoy a buffet style dinner with whisky pairings at Komegashi. Admission is $75/pp. Tickets can be purchased by phone or at the restaurant.

Oktoberfest at Zeppelin Hall (through October 20)

This is your final week to enjoy Oktoberfest at Zeppelin Hall. The beer hall currently has a Bavarian-inspired menu that includes everything from schnitzel to giant pretzels. Oktoberfest ends on the 19th.

Shaka Bowl 3-Year Anniversary Benefit (Thursday)

Hoboken’s Shaka Bowl is celebrating its 3-year anniversary with a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Stop by their Hoboken cafe (110 Washington) this Thursday from 6pm to 10pm for a night of food and drinks. A minimum $20 donation is suggested and will get you an all-inclusive ticket to the evenings festivities. Funds raised will benefit the ACS.

Art Shows at Choc-o-Pain & Froth on Franklin (Thursday)

Choc-o-Pain Jersey City Heights is showcasing the art work of local artist, Issa Sow. The cafe will premiere Sow’s art show, “Consideration.” Meanwhile, Froth on Franklin is hosting its first art show tonight as it spotlights the work of Jersey City artist, Chazz Jogie.

Dinner, Wine, and Dessert at Ohlala French Kitchen (Thursday)

Ohlala French Kitchen has recently started serving wine/champagne and tonight is their first wine dinner. The evening includes dinner, dessert, and two glasses of wine for $25/pp.

Dinner/Wine Tasting at Satis Bistro (Thursday)

Enjoy a 4-course wine dinner highlighting the wines of Napa Valley’s Girard Winery. Entrees include spice-rubbed lamb tenderloin, seared duck breast, wild boar meatballs, and more. Admission is $75/pp.

Cocktail Class and movie night at Liberty House (Thursday)

Learn how to make spooky and bubbling cocktails during tonight’s Halloween edition cocktail class at Liberty House. Plus, there will be a surprise movie screening in the park. Admission to the class is $45/pp.

Cathedral Arts Live 2019-2020 Season Begins (Friday)

Cathedral Arts Live is a music series held at Jersey City’s Grace Church Van Vorst. The 2019/2020 season kicks off today with a performance by jazz drummer Winard Harper and singer/songwriter duo Visen. Tickets are $20 advanced; $25 at the door, or $40 for VIP passes.

Halloween Bash at Jersey City Ballroom (Friday)

The Jersey City Ballroom’s annual Halloween Costume Party is on for this Friday. The party will include dance classes, social dancing, special performances, and more.

The Ghost of Uncle Joe’s at Harsimus Cemetery (Saturday)

The Ghost of Uncle Joe’s is an annual rock show/costume party held at the Harsimus Cemetery. Local musicians will perform covers of Coldplay, Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, AC/DC, Paramore, Foo Fighters, and more. Food and beer will be sold by local food trucks. Tickets are $15 at the gate.
