Well, that didn’t take long.

A new owner is moving into the formerĀ Dolya Cafe storefront. Jersey City’s Bang Cookies will open its second cookie shop at 128 Newark Avenue this spring, per Hoboken Girl.

Bang Cookies has been baking its small batch, organic cookies in Jersey City since 2016. The bakery made its debut at the downtown Farmers’ Market and has been featured everywhere from The New York Times to CNBC.

Back in 2016 it was reported that Bang Cookies would take over the former Coldwell Banker storefront on Grove Street. However, owner and Bang Cookies head baker George Kuan would eventually open the first Bang Cookies storefront in the Heights the following year.

Located at 1183 Summit Avenue, Bang Cookies’ Heights storefront doubles as a production facility and pick-up center for customers. (Bang Cookies delivers nationwide as well). Now with a shop in the heart of downtown, its decadent cookies will make it into the hands of even more JC residents.

In 2018, Bang Cookies introduced a new line of Boozy Cookies ($6), Deluxe Cookies ($5), and a line of Cookie Cakes ($45 – $60). Their classic cookies remain $4.50/each.
