Another large construction project is coming to Jersey City. This one, however, will be located in Journal Square.
Toronto-based Altree Developments just unveiled its West Side Arts project, which will bring five new buildings and approximately 500 rental units to the Mana Contemporary Arts District. Designed to bring young creatives to the area, the units will range between 450 square feet to 1,300 square feet. The project will also include 50,000 square feet of retail and gallery space.
“At Altree Developments, we are dedicated to seeking out projects that allow us to build a meaningful experience within each community we enter, offering residents a locale to live, dream and thrive,” said Zev Mandelbaum, President of Altree Developments.
The residential units will be located at 1072 and 1075 West Side Avenue near Mana Contemporary, Journal Square, and Lincoln Park. According to Altree, the project will be 11 minutes away from Wall Street and 23 minutes away from Penn Station.
